This printer is so frustrating!! Every other wk I have to buy at least 1 color ... or it WONT PRINT!! Even if I’m just printing black and white! It’s too costly!!

Possibly one of the most frustrating tech purchases ever. Epson is trying to be Apple and ensure no other vendors can produce after market ink for them. The problem is the technology isn't great and ink that I've purchased from legitimate Epson retailers sometimes shows up as unauthorized. I will buy a 4-pack of ink, and 3 of the 4 will work but the last one won't. And of course always at the worst time. Plus there is not an option that most other printer to use the full inks to complete a print job. So if I'm out of Cyan and want to print in black and white, I cannot. The entire printer shuts down. I'm dumping this printer and getting a new one from anyone except Epson.

Mediocre - since the day I started it up, it seems to always need firmware updates. Once in a while, it just flakes out and I need to re-start. Most of the time, it prints.

I love the new wireless feature from this company. It really makes it a breeze to get great prints from my phone!

Always a 30 minute to an hour process to get it to print or scan. Have printed very little with it and it says I'm out of ink already, and won't print until I buy more. The last page it printed, everything was perfectly legible, like it has plenty of ink. Not worth the money and unfortunately I'm out of my 30 day return window.

The printer works great until it goes to sleep. After that it won't connect to the WIFI. it is a HUGE process to get it to work again. Happens each time is goes to sleep. I have have 4 Epson printers before this and this will be my last one.

Well, it prints. It takes a lot of effort to do so though. Sometimes it just refuses to do anything until hours later. We just give it time to do it’s thing.

My epson is a very good computer, but it uses a ton of ink which is very expensive

Took some time to get it hooked up and online with laptops and iPhones and iPads. It wasn’t a easy process like it states it would be but we were able to get it done.

Not a big fan of this printer and returned only to purchase an equally unimpressive HP printer instead. Printer was noisy and quality was average at best.

I have owned several of these and I keep purchasing because I am very familiar with the operation and I have a surplus of ink. Is it fairly reliable and an average value for the money

Number one issue: if you are out of any of the colored inks you cannot print in just black. I mostly print in black and white so this is a complete waste of time and is really annoying. The software is annoying with tons of notifications, and lots of updates that don't improve anything. You need supplemental software for everything scanning, printing, update checker, connection checker, photo printer etc. I find the ink smears quite often even when you adjust the settings, particularly on color prints with any kind of nice paper. I would never buy this printer again. It consistently frustrates me. They have 'deals' on this printer all the time...check out the ink prices.

I am greatly disappointed with this printer. I have used Epson Printers since before the year 2000 and always have been completely satisfied with them. This one needs a lot of work. Especially the Scanner. I have a 25 year old Canon scanner which does a by far better job than this. Needs much work to make it work properly. Very Unhappy!

Very easy to install. Just followed the installation instructions and had NO issues all. Flawless. Just updated code today and had no issues also. Easiest printer I’ve ever installed

This printer is not a wise choice for school students. The ink is expensive and the overall designs sucks…

The ink does not last long. So, the deal we received on the purchase may not be such a good deal if we have to frequently replace ink cartridges.

This broke within one month of use. How a manufacturer is allowed to make such a cheap product is truly beyond my comprehension. It worked for a while with just putting in 5 sheets of paper, and then it totally stopped working altogether. It constantly says "paper jam," but there is no place to locate a jam that it says exists. I tried different paper. It worked long enough to use the ink in the cartridges that came with it, but now I cannot get the new ink cartridges out, because it won't move the platen with the ink on it, due to saying paper jam. Not only was this printer NOT worth $200, it COST me $60 in ink and now I can't retrieve the cartridges if I am able to get a replacement or return this piece of crap.

I have always owned Epson printers and have been satisfied up until my last Epson unit: I find this unit to be average for printing I have done to date.

Very difficult setup. Very complicated. Wouldn’t do again.

I have been using this printer for a couple of months now and it’s great! The quality of the paper and DVD printer is amazing for the price, I highly recommend this product.
