Set up is not hard and printing quality is good

I've always liked Epson printers, and this was purchased as a replacement for another 10-year old Epson printer. Set up for connection on the WiFi network was relatively straightforward using the software. However, somehow perhaps due to a glitch, two printer drivers were installed on my computer, although with slightly different names and correspond to the same one. I had to try printing using each to figure out the one that didn't work and delete it. Otherwise, the printing quality is good. Over time, one thing that annoys me is that during initial setup, and periodically after that (likely when the printer hasn't been used for a while), when you turned on the printer, it'll go into some sort of automatic calibration or self-cleaning mode, when for up to 5 mins you can't do anything to stop it, can't tell how long the process would take, and you certainly can't print anything. It's frustrating when you want to turn the printer on and print something out quickly.

Nice Photo and B&W Document Printer

I needed a nice combination photo printer and document printer. After reviewing a few sites, I settled on Epson. They have a great reputation for photo print quality. After printer a few dozen 4X6 photos - all I can say is wow. They look fantastic. The printing of documents on plain paper (B&W) also look sharp and clean. I don't use the scanner much but have done a few copies of other documents. Again, easy to use and great quality output

    Good Home Office Printer

Nice printer, easy setup. Out of the box and operating within 20 minutes. Very little instruction comes with it so it might take longer to setup if you’re not familiar with Epson printers. Doesn’t automatically shut down and things that extend themselves (paper tray, control panel) don’t close unless you close them. Overall a good home printer.

Easy setup, good quality printing. The only drawback is the paper drawers only holds a small amount of paper.

So far, so good. The only problem I had was with using 4x6 photo paper. With only 3 or 4 sheets in the tray it would not pick up. So, I put twenty sheets in and then it worked.

Works like a champ, just like expected, easy setup as well. But, it uses a little more ink than we expected, but still way less ink than older printers. Colors are super, and spot on. Scanner is really nice as is the blue tooth feature. The way the display folds down after use and then moves back out again when you Que a print job is also pretty slick. This is printer that is worth buying a better grade of paper for as it really can make your presentation or documents pop!

printing black, and colors being used

In order to save on the ink, we usually just print documents, every now and then we print something in color. We have noticed that even though we are using black and white only, colors are being used. That is not cool! just now we are trying to print a document in black and white, and we get an out of ink error. cyan is out and yellow and magenta are nearly gone. we HAVE not printed barely anything in color with these last cartridges, which by the way are $70 a set, and it feels like this printer drank the ink! My previous printer, also an Epson, an NX330 never did that! what has happened!? This is unacceptable! I should have spent more and got a laser printer like I was planning.

My Epson is my go to printer for photo printing. It is an ink hog but the crisp quality is noticeably better than most other printers that I have used before. This is my 2nd Epson color printer. I saved a lot buying a factory refurbished unit and adding the Asurion extended warranty to the purchase. I do my everyday and bulk printing on a Brother Inkvestment Tank printer. I used to be an HP user but neither HP nor Brother come close to the photo print quality of an Epson for printing photos.

    Great Affordable Little Printer

I’ve had it for almost a month now, and I am very satisfied. It meets my needs. It prints quickly, the color is excellent. It’s easy to set up and use. When printing I can’t tell the difference between the copy and the original. In fact sometimes the copy looks better than the original. In my opinion this printer is worth every penny. For the price it’s excellent. I haven’t printed any photos on it yet, but that’s not what I bought it for.

It is a great printer. Very easy to use. This is my first WiFi printer so I was really excited but sometimes, very rarely, when I try to print something it'll give me a "printer offline" message and it will not print. I will print once I try a second time. It is a bit annoying and I am not sure how to resolve the issue. Other than that, the quality is great!

So far it was an easy set up to use with iOS Phones, easy to print too. I haven’t been able to use it for photo printing yet. I expect to fairly soon. I hope to connect to my Mac laptop, and print photos soon. I owned a professional photography studio, and had several Epson Printers for professional portrait printing. I was very happy with the quality of the finished products. My next Epson will be one that can print up to 16x20 prints.
