Doesn't work. I got a new one because my old one wouldn't bluetooth or scan to my computer, or didn't reconize when was connected by usb. Guess what nor does the new one! I can send prints to the printer but not vs versa. Paper is always "jammed" but it's not, the paper tray is very hard to get in and out, it doesn't hold lot of paper so you always have to add, the tray that its printed out too never closes or opens! The automatic screen part that "automatically" goes up never goes back down. Prolly the last time I buy something from Best Buy because they don't give you time to return even during a health pandemic, if it doesn't work so thats money thrown in the trash. Buy from costco, walmart or anywhere that you can return things.

I have never had an Epson printer before but made the switch here. So far I have liked the functions of the printer and internet connectivity has been better than I have experienced with other printers. Worth the cost

It prints type and images from regular Word files nicely. However, printing photos on premium glossy 4X6 paper is mediocre. There is a weird black raised part to the printed photos.

    Defective from day 1

Defective from day one, January 24, 2025 and store and credit card refuses to accept return or exchange. It took 4 days for this printer to finally connect with the wifi even though my wifi was working correctly. After a week of correctly printing it started printing vertical lines. I tried all the suggested fixes but none worked and then I installed the suggested update. After the update it would not recognize the black Epson ink cartridge. I tried downgrading but then the printer was stuck on a scanner error window which I could not move out of. So I finally accepted the Epson offer to exchange the new printer for a used/reconditioned one. Once I receive the printer exchange I will be filing a complaint with Consumer Protection and the FTC against Best Buy and their credit card. BestBuy has lost my business and others, I had to purchase 4 printers (including my personal one) and 1 laptop for my association which has been purchased from a different company. My final statement is that 14 days is not enough time to determine if a printer is functional.

    Worst printer ever!

Epson, what were you thinking? Where to start, Having 3 paper trays is a horrible design. The trays are flimsy and very difficult to work with. The main paper tray only holds about 20 sheets of 8 1/2 x 11 paper. To connect to the printer, you need to load a CD or go to their website and download the drivers. Once connect. The printer jammed easily. When trying to use the direct feed from the rear of the printer, it pulled the paper through without printing and then printed on a piece of paper in the cassette tray. It would not automatically reconnect to the Wifi when it went in sleep mode until you turned if off and back on. This definitely went back to the store. I use to like Epson's but they never should have produced this piece of junk. Replaced it with the HP 8035E and so far it's has been fabulous.

    Don’t buy the extended warranty

Ended up going out a couple months after I bought it. It was past the return policy but me exchanging it voided the warranty as it is only one time you can do that in 4 years which is pathetic. I could have called the manufacturer but they didn’t tell me that, nor did they tell me it was one time at the time of purchase. I’m going to PCRichards from now on or elsewhere. Never doing Best Buy again. They changed my battery in my phone too and broke it and had to wait for a new one. Too many issues in Deptford NJ store. Ended up fixing my old printer and now this one is my spare,

For the price, the Epson XP-7100 is a great buy. I continue to purchase Epson printers because it's the only one I find that prints on CDs. Yes, I'm still using CDs.
