We bought this printer to replace an HP from 2007, so it definitely feels like an upgrade! It's fast and quiet.
Some of features/set-up are less than intuitive, and the design is somewhat silly. There are lots of moving parts - literally, the front middle of the printer moves when the power is turned on/off - and I wonder about durability. Also, filling the paper tray requires pulling a tray out manually from inside the printer. The scanning function needs better software - if you want to preview then scan, you have to re-feed the document (!).
It's a decent printer if all you're doing is printing, and don't mind fiddling with paper trays.

So far, so good. The only problem I had was with using 4x6 photo paper. With only 3 or 4 sheets in the tray it would not pick up. So, I put twenty sheets in and then it worked.

Yeah! First home printer I have ever owned that didn’t dry ink on the printer heads and had to be replaced every time I really needed to use a printer. It’s small and lightweight but really does what I need it to do, print the once a year tax forms etc.

Finally found a printer that is quite functional and easy to operate. Perfect size to save space, also. Printing on color paper produces a professional quality for a very reasonable price. Thanks Epson.

So far I’ve had this unit for about a month and have done a fair amount of printing on it. I always have something to hand to my clients so I needed a printer that would be up to the task of being in constant use.
During the first week, I had two instances of paper getting jammed in the printer. I know I still had three weeks to return it so I pushed on. Fortunately, it hasn’t happened since. The prints are clear and the printer is quick to do its job.
I was surprised by the small footprint on my desk. It’s the perfect size. The printer this one is replacing was a behemoth (and now that I can see the functionality of this one, overkill).
The set up was super quick. I was done in about 15-20 min.
It has everything that I can imagine anyone needing for a small home office.

I am very impressed with this printer! Great for home use. Easy to set up and install. The connection to my wireless network was a breeze. The printer has a step by step guide on the control panel for loading your papers or installing your inks. Great quality printing in both black and white and color. It is fast and the inks dry very quickly. Excellent photo printing. The only thing I would change amount of paper I can load at a time in the lower carrier however I have not used the top paper carrier as yet. The scanner is excellent and the app easy to use. This printer also has an excellent copier. All in all, this is great buy for the quality of the printer.

Lives up to all the claims and it is easy to use. Set up was easy and it prints fast. Very compact size with a smaller footprint than its predecessor, an Epson 1280 that finally quit printing well after about 15 years.

I am very pleased with the design and function of this printer. Install was easy. All apparatus worked fist time used. Makes very good color copies. The auto duplex is seamless. Immediately realized how much more quiet the printer is compared to other products.
I haven't usedd all the features yet, we're not a power user family. The footprint is perfect. Plug in and use and unplug as needed. Not connected to the internet/wifi and that's the way we want it. The capability is there, however. No need for a huge paper tray for us so 100 is more than enough.
Ink is reasonably priced.

Purchased this printer because it had good reviews for printing family phots. The reviews were accurate. Does a great job. This printer was the easiest ever to install. It searched for connections, and found my wifi. It has a low profile and easily fits on a small desk. If you are not planning to change to a large ink supply printer, this one is inexpensive to purchase, prints clearly, and does a great job with photos. The only con is the price of the ink cartridges.

Fast printer, fairly quiet. Makes very good photo prints. No issues with set up and wifi signal is stable if the unit is powered down after use. Not sure of the issue when it is kept on. Wifi printing from phone (iphone) works fine. Have not been able to wifi print from laptop but able to connect with cord so no real issues. Scanning function works fast and quiet, much better than my last printer. Pricey Ink but we will see how long the basic cartridges last with minimal printing.

Bought this on sale with high hopes and have been more than happy with it. The trays are a little confusing - I had to google how to print an envelope because the default setting is for a CD but other than that it works perfect.
Previously owned HP. While it was a little more user friendly the ink cartridges wouldn’t work consistently. The test page would print but all other print jobs were trash. So far this printer prints great.
Con- not as user friendly as other brands
Pros- prints great and isn’t constantly trying to force me into a subscription for ink

I got this printer as a replacement for my Epson XP-830 that died. The only main difference between the two is w/ XP-7100 I can’t fax but I have no need to.
It is maybe an inch taller than the XP-830 and seems about an inch less in length. It fits a small round table I use to sit the printer on.
XP-7100 was easy to set up using the quick guide.
I really like the auto front/back print and bigger icon features.
Print and pictures are clear/crisp for its size and price point.
I use the printer often and I am still on the ink cartridges that came with the printer!
Overall, I am very pleased with the XP-7100 and it was a great purchase for me.

Purchased this to replace an old HP Inkjet. I purchased this one because the paper feeder on top can be folded down to make a flat surface unlike all modern HP models.
Setting up and installation were not difficult, especially since I actually read the directions. Not as intuitive as I might hope, but not bad. Installing the drivers on my second computer was really easy and the network connection was recognized right away.
Printing is of good quality and reasonably speedy once the printer finishes its "wake up" cycle. That cycle is moderately long, so printing a quick one page item after it has gone into power saving mode can take a while. The shutdown delay can be set, but I haven't done so yet.
Single sheet printing (as for envelopes or checks) is "clunky". You have to actually start the print job before you put the paper in the single sheet feeder. I found it easier to put the single sheets into the paper tray.
The paper tray: You absolutely must have room in front of the printer with no obstructions in order to fill the paper tray. Not that much of a problem, but still "clunky."
My review does not give it 5 stars due to the clunky operations, but overall I would definitely recommend this product to friends.
