    Problems with Mac

Purchased based on Consumer Reports tests. The print quality and speed are great HOWEVER -- it does not play well with my Mac or Air Print. Despite multiple installs, I have to restart both the printer and the computer to get them to connect. Air Print from phone or iPad is a hit or miss event -- works only some of the time -- and I've not found a work around on that. If not for the fact that I bought a good supply of cartridges ($$$'s), I would return it.

So far this printer has performed as expected. I have not used it to print photos only documents that I needed in paper form. I have not had a printer for any years, I am glad I purchased this printer.

    Good Printer for the Money

The Epson printer is a nice unit for the money. Installation, which I did on my own, was a little time consuming but end results were good. Instructions could have been a little more explicit.

A bit of trouble with the setup. Ink cartridges were difficult to get seated initially. But Epson customer service was courteous and so helpful to get the printer online. I installed the complete software program later.

The printer works well but the paper loading is not as easy as my old printer and the message I get when I start my pc about missing parts of my network when the printer is off is annoying.

I wasn't a big fan of this printer. I was printing multiple sheets and it jammed on me after like the 3rd use.

My previous all-in-one did not recover from a power glitch and developed problems scanning. This Epson was highly recommended and did not disappoint. Scanning and printing were simple and straightforward, and the quality is excellent.

    Don't buy this

The scanner function is the slowest thing I've ever seen -- it takes almost 5 minutes to scan one page. Forget scanning documents with multiple pages. The paper tray holds very little paper (like 20-30 pages), so you have to reload the paper tray multiple times in one print job. It's hard to remove and often gets stuck when you put it back in. Also, lots of paper jams. Don't buy this. Spend like $50 more and get a printer that is easy to use.

Printer started working as expected. But after only half the number of pages the black cartridge I bought is supposed to be good for, a "Low Ink" warning came on, even though the cartridge was still half full, as i found out when I drilled a fill hole to add more ink and some of the remaining ink dripped all over my hands.

Love it, have own for a awhile. So far it has not had any paper jams compared to my old, Colors are bright, great photo printing. My only complain not much of one that it has more than just 2 ink cartridges!!

The printer produces nicely finished copies. There are a great number of plastic pieces on the printer, so I will wait to see how it holds up. Printer is extremely loud and shimmers and shakes when printing. The photo tray creates a problem when printing regular letter-size copies. I had to remove the photo tray completely to avoid trouble using large tray. Printing an envelope is a horrible task. Very frustrating because the instructions do not hold true.

We decided on a wireless printer because the kids always had stuff to print from their school laptops and it was so much easier to be able to print from anywhere! Really love it.

I got this printer on sale and it was definitely a good deal. I didn't have any problems setting it up and it connected easily to my home network. It also has Airprint capabilities. I am satisfied with this product thus far.

Epson Xp-830 Is Good Basic Printer

High quality and serviceable, but ink seems to run out fast. And it still galls me that once any color runs out, you cannot print in any other color. Still, good enough buy for the money.

I bought this printer because I have the one before this one and it is one that will print on cd's which most of them won't. I print on cd's quite a bit so I needed to get this printer.

The online plus box plus instructions were all truthful, honest, easy to follow and if need be either Best Buy or Epson customer service would have been able to assist with anything I needed. Luckily I did not need them.

I have the 810 and two 830 printers. Work well with AirPrint. Only drawback is like most inkjet printers cartridge cost. I haven't investigated alternative cartridges, just buy Epson.

after years of faithful service our Epson XP 820 finally crapped out. we immediately purchased the newer model XP 830. Performance is excellent across the range of requirements we expect: copying, color, scanning, etc.
