Great printer/scanner

I really like it so far, but we're still in the honeymoon phase.
For instance, I found out that if I want to print a picture on photo paper, I can't just lay the photo paper on top of a stack of regular paper in the printer. Need to take the regular paper out first. Two reasons for this... 1) When you print from your PC, the settings ask what kind of paper you are printing on. The printer has sensors and it alerts loudly if the settings don't match the paper that's in the printer (I think the sensors are at the bottom of the paper feed stack, Still pretty cool, nevertheless), and 2) When I attempted this, it pulled the sheet of photo paper from the top and the first sheet of regular paper came along with it.
Live and learn!
If what the Epson guy at my Best Buy store told me is true - I have plenty of ink to figure out the best ways to use this printer. Should have about 12,000 sheets worth! Just glad I didn't get the really expensive Epson Ultra High Glossy photo paper to learn on!! :-)
But yeah, really pleased with my new printer/scanner. I do wish I could set up the fax to work over a VOIP line over wifi... Maybe I just haven't figured it out yet?
PS - The photo I just printed is absolutely GLORIOUS!!! Best looking photo I have EVER seen come out of a home printer in my Life!!

I have always owned Epson printers and when it came time to replace our NX-430 we looked to Epson to see what they offered that would be an all in one and fit in the same location. Ink consumption has always been an issue and we always buy the high capacity cartridges but we still were replacing the cartridges every 3 months or so. My job had purchased 2 EcoTank printers for invoice and office printing a year earlier and after doing some more research and observing that the printers at work would go 8 months on the black ink tank before needing to be refilled we decided to purchase this model. So far we are still on the original ink that came with the printer and have not had any print quality issues that a head cleaning did not resolve. I would highly recommend this printer or any other EcoTank printer model for those who do frequent printing and are tired of purchasing ink cartridges.

I basically said it all in the summary. The photo quality is very good IMHO. The ink consumption is fantastic. I imagine the ink that came with my printer will last longer than the printer. It came with two full sets of all colors and black. To give some perspective regarding my personal use, I print upwards of ten calendars every year for my family. All 12 pages of each calendar are printed on premium glossy paper and all pages are loaded with at least eight family photos on the top of each page and the calendar grid on the bottom of each page. I have been doing this every year since 2002. I have always had to use at least one full set of ink and sometimes two full sets to print all my copies. This year I did all my printing the same way I always do and when finished I was presently surprised to see that the first set of bottles is still over 90% full. My only issue, is that it is a bit slow. I highly recommend this printer.

This printer is fantastic. I believe it is much better than the cartridge printers. Amazing how long the ink last. So glad I made the change!!! Some say it is a little noisy, but it's not bad. The printer makes copies so fast. I'm glad I invested in this printer. Maybe that is why it makes a little noise. So worth the money!!!

After over 8 years, I switched from Kodak 9.1 Hero because I changed to all Apple products and Kodak did not work with Air print. I never used an Epson product, this is the first one. The initial alignment was a bit timely and difficult. However, after the set up, it’s wonderful printing, a little slow with scanning, but it works great with Air print and prints and scans beautifully. I really enjoy the amount of ink that it came with and it doesn’t use or waste ink the way some printers do. I really like the tanks, unlike the cassettes, which tend to dry up without constant use. The expense was a little off putting at first, but if you factor in the cost of ink, and the replacement ink is sold in lots of locations, for less than the cassettes. So far, it’s worth the money. I read a few reviews where they felt the printer was flimsy, but it was no different than other brands of printers. I do agree that it takes some getting used to, to be able to tell where to stop the paper, as it can go back too far. I did try an HP Premium printer before this one but didn’t like it because I had to keep waking it to print and turn on/off constantly to air print. This Epson prints and connects, even starting in the sleep mode. I have never had to turn this printer on or off to air print.

I think that everyone should invest in this printer. It comes with a big tank of ink, the cartridge last forever and it prints crazy fast. I assembly this printer in no time. Did I mention no paper jams...no paper jams.

What you save on ink offsets everything. Pay more now, save enough to by a 'cheap' printer every year for the next 15 years and that's after the 2 years of ink you get with this printer. You buy any other printer you have to add the cost of ink. Go ahead and google the prices. if you want to pay nearly $70 to $100 every three 3 months then go ahead and buy any other printer. Epson is the new King in my book and HP better start looking for an answer. There really is n reason for the other to even exist anymore.

Best Printer We've Ever Had!

Very smooth-working printer and reliable interface.
Although this printer is kind of pricey, I feel you get what you pay for in terms of quality of the machine.
I have not had any trouble trying to duplex print from this machine, which is one of the primary ways I use my printer because I like to save paper. Also I feel that the ink is a better value when you can buy a bottle of ink that can print anywhere from 6,000 to 11,000 pages for like $20 per bottle, vs paying approx. $20 for a cartridge that only prints about 300 pages.
Some things about this printer I would caution people on:
1. Be sure you pour the ink in the correct spot (I'm sure it would ruin the printer if you messed this up)
2. Careful when moving the printer once it's filled with ink. I would imagine this printer wouldn't make for a good travel printer, it's heavy and there's the liquid ink to be mindful of.
Recommendation when looking to buy this printer:
Watch the weekly promotions! Sometimes these printers have great sales and may feature a trade-in promotion to recycle an old printer.

I bought this a couple of years ago, and I still love it. I use it daily and for a home office. I have yet to buy ink for it...it lasts forever. If you want to save money on ink, this is the printer for you. I comes with atleast 2 years of ink included.

I love this Eco Tank printer. It was easy to set up and, it prints in very high quality. I love the ink refill feature, fast, easy and no mess. The included inks were a huge bonus and, will save time and money as opposed to expensive ink cartridges. The printer is fast and performs excellently. Wireless and Air Print are easy to set up and, also work excellent. For the money, this is a great printer, beating out a lot of it's competitors. I love my Epson ET-4750! From scanning to faxing, copying and printing, it gets the jobs done with ease and precision. You will not be disappointed with this printer.

The printer has great print quality. The set-up process is a little tedious. Don't expect to plug it in and start printing right away. The loading of the ink takes awhile. It is also a little noisy when it first starts to print. But all its good points out weigh that.

i really like the ink ink design
our HP printer that was hardly ever used was always going through ink cartridges , they would be bad after a couple months of no use
so we are looking forward to the savings of not having to replace them

Chose this printer due to availability of ink and cost. Previous printer would have paid for new one in ink cost alone. We find good quality operation so far and like smaller size. Had no problem with computer network connections- 2 computers. Have not yet tried printing from a phone. So far very pleased

This Epson WorkForce Eco Tank was very easy to set up and the quality of the prints is excellent. It's compact size makes it a great choice for a small office like mine. My only complaint is I wish it came in white or a beige color. The black color shows dust to easily.

Set up was easy. The print quality is great. Filling the tanks with ink was a piece of cake. I didn't think I would have a need for the sheet feeder for either scanning or copying, I've found it to be a handy feature.
Only con I can say is I wish the printer was a little quieter.

No more expensive cartridges. The ink in this system goes a long way. We've barely put a dent in the ink levels and I love the fact that I can see them. Setup and wifi connection were easy. Bottle tops are all unique so you can't put the wrong color in the wrong tank.
