    Great Printer, awesome ink Value

When the package arrived, we noticed how nice the look and color of the box was. We then opened it and it was very securely in the box but easy to pull out. It was very easy to plug in and set up. The installation of the software was very easy because it allowed me to install directly from the website. The instructions were easy to read and understand. I was a bit nervous when it came to filling the ink cartridges myself but it wasn’t hard at all. And I love the fact that I can print so much without worry of running out of ink. I really like how the touch screen looks and it is user friendly. I have downloaded the app on the iPhone and haven’t found any glitches when sending documents and pictures. I did have a little trouble figuring out how to scan a batch of documents into individual pdfs, but once I did, I was able to save the settings so I wouldn’t have to remember how to do it again. So, the scan 2 program could be updated to be more user friendly. The only other issue I have found it that papers going through the scanner to get stuck/jammed very easily. I feel like the little grabber doesn’t grip to pull as much as some other scanners I’ve used. Other than those minimal things, it seems to be a very durable/long lasting item that would be great for home or office. User Friendly for a Variety of Users

My environment is very fast paced when it comes to correspondence. From the frequency of incoming/outgoing documents and revising anything promptly, identification verification, notary- the list goes on. We are on a fast paced time schedule at moments notice therefore, high volume printing and ease of access are always my top requirements when searching for a printer. An on hand scanning capability is also very necessary at times, more so than faxing. The 'All-in-One" features of this particular printer have exceeded my expectations far beyond what I anticipated. Setup was pure bliss and I did not (and have not) encountered any type of difficulties since the first use. My absolute favorite feature, alongside the "Manual 2-Sided Printing" Function - would be Ink installation. Hands down, this was an exciting experience that did intimidate me at first, however this is a mess free, non-cartridge operation that reduces clutter and the stress of having to refill during the most unexpected moments. If only my paper supply could keep up with the Epson WorkForce ET-4750! The quality holds strong no matter how much ink is depleted. I love the versatility offered with this All-in-One. I am VERY satisfied, and I highly recommend investing in said printer for the long run. Good Printer for home use

EPSON's revolutionary technology for the ECO tank is a great relief, given that Cartridge for inkjet printers were all time high, and were the only things that cost next to liquid gold. The touch-screen panel on the printer is small, I would have preferred a little larger screen as it would have saved some efforts on my behalf. The 150 Page Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) is especially helpful, for scanning, and having a a two page bin is helpful too. I was expecting the printer to be a little larger, but was happy to see the compact size. One shortfall I noticed and read was that all ink cartridges are required for printing, but given the size of the ink tank, I doubt that's going to be an issue. To test the printer, I used AVERY sticker papers both glossy and non-glossy that come with different templates to print on non LETTER Size paper. I noticed that the printer was aligning well for print-outs In a few laser printers, I have seen the paper jam and/or get misaligned, so I am really satisfied with the product. All in one printer (fax, scan, print and copy). Wireless and touch color screen, you can do most of the task just like other AIO printer out there. But more to add, this is an eco-tank printer, just like it predecessor Epson Ecotank ET-2650 means you can refill ink yourself with ease. This printer also has an ADF function, means you can copy, scan a bunch of paper at the same time (which it is lacked in the ET-2650). Besides the printer cable (which most of other printers doesn't include), everything i need to fire up this beast is in there including all the ink bottles. Photo printing is not the best but acceptable. Document printing is exceptional fast. I haven't tested the fax function yet but i don't there is any issues . My experience with the printer

I received this printer in late October and let me tell you this product is incredible. When I first opened up the product I was nervous about setting it up because it looked complicated. I was surprised to see that the instructions only consisted of five steps and they were very straightforward. Once I followed the directions the installation process turned out to be so smooth and effortless. I hooked everything up in about twenty minutes. I had the ink, paper, and wifi all set up ready for printing. And with a simple installation of the Epson printing app; I was printing stuff off instantly from my phone. Also when printing material off it was ready in seconds, so no waiting. All in all, I love this product, and it's perfect for my college work. *This is a review for the Epson WorkForce ET-4750 EcoTank All-in-One Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and evaluation.*

Great Printer and Perfect Ink System

    Posted .

I purchased this printer to replace an older model Epson that used replaceable individual ink cartridges. I had a 200 or so page project needing to be printed. I found I was out of black and 2 other colors. So I needed to buy ink. Just that was going to be $75 and I always buy 2 or three extra black cartridges. I needed the printing done now so I had to find it in stock so I could buy it ink now. So I looked at Best Buy for ink and while I was looking, I saw the the Epson 4750 with the Eco Tank system. I ended up buying the 4750 printer because it came with two bottles of each color ink color. It is Enough to print about 11,000 color pages! That’s about $1500 worth of replacement ink cartridges included with the printer. I bought the new printer and it works great. What a value! The only con is my old printer would scan two-sided docs automatically with the auto tray feeder. This printer will automatically feed but won’t scan both sides. So I kept the old printer in the basement connected to my PC via WiFi so I can scan two-sided docs if I have the need to do so. I’m a huge fan of the Epson Eco Tank system! Anyone buying new printers with the old cartridge system is burning money with every page they print. This printer comes with all the ink to print 11,000 pages, who does that? Epson!

Eco tank is great for ink useage but rest is awful

Purchased this printer for the Eco Tank feature. Rest of it is horrible. Will not print card stock, labels, special envelopes, etc. Support site is worthless. No way to ask specific questions as to how to print a page of self-stick labels, how to print non standard envelopes or seldom used envelopes. Entire menu on control panel so complicated and small and takes forever to set something to print. I end up wasting a lot of time with this printer. Print quality is not all that great. I like the overall size of this printer as it does not take up a lot of space on desktop. Sure is loud though.

Thank you Epson for listening to your customer-base!!! I purchased this printer about six months ago as a Home Office/Family Printer. It has been an awesome all the way around. A few of the high-points are listed below. 1) Eco-Tank: When using past printers I had endless issues running out of ink at the evening before a large proposal or school project is due. The Eco-Tank solves this issue. Additionally, the ink is a small fraction of the price of other printers. 2) Non-Smear Ink: One of the other issues I had with other printers is that the ink smears easily. While I will not claim that you cannot smear the ink from this printer, I found it is much more permanent than other products. 3) Print Quality: I have only done a few experiments printing on photo paper, but the results have been very positive so far. 4) Finally, the software (drivers, etc.) seem to be solid, Past printers would often disappear off my network without any rhyme or reason resulting in hours of troubleshooting to resolve. The Epson software has been solid. Very easy to install and configure and once installed has been very stable. Don't be fooled by the small, unassuming look of the printer. I almost passed it up in the store in favor of the of the larger "slick" looking competitors. Fortunately a BB Rep helped my and suggested I consider the Epson....so glad I did! Hope this helps!!

Great Value - good quality, average speed

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

The ET-4750 is indeed slow, as many people mention, but if you print a lot of pages, but don't print hundreds of pages all at the same time, this might be the printer for you. We print thousands of pages a year - probably hundreds in a day sometimes, but it is usually 3 or 4 pages at a time, so this printer fits the bill. What we really needed was a printer that reduced trips to Best Buy for ink and lowered our printing costs. While the printer is a little slower, the quality is excellent and this replaced an HP 8600Pro AIO. The HP was getting long in the tooth, pages were coming out poorly and the ink costs were far too high vs. something like these megatanker printers. The major weakness of this unit is not the print engine, but really the scanner. The scanner is not a duplex unit and the speed and quality are low compared to what you get on most other units that cost this much. Fortunately, I have an Epson FF-640 auto duplexing scanner that can burn through hundreds of duplex pages in a blink, but if you are going to rely on the scanner in this unit, you may want to look elsewhere or at least do a thorough test in the store nearest you. Overall, excellent value for the money, it should easily last the two years the ink lasts and should save quite a bit in the long run. Just be aware of the limitations in speed and scanning.

This is a decent printer from Epson. I really like the EcoTank, that it holds as much liquid ink as a laser printer holds toner. The ink cost about the same amount as a toner cartridge does as well. I wish it held 500 pages, instead of the 250, which means I can only stick in 1/2 ream at a time. Having a printer that can print on both sides of the page easy is nice too This is a review for the Epson WorkForce ET-4750 EcoTank All-in-One Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review

    Great Printer

I had to purchase a new printer following the demise of my older HP, which basically died after leaking ink internally and externally from the ink nozzle, Most of the reviews for printers were not very encouraging. I finally decided on the Epson 4750 for several reasons. 1. Best Buy had a $50 Trade-In rebate for bringing in my leaky old HP (Yay!) 2. The reviews were not horrible (again Yay!) 3. It comes with a 2-yr (average print rate) of Ink (super Yay!) I do not print a lot so the ink will probably last more than 2 yrs. (hopefully) I did read that if you do not print enough - you should set up the printer for a monthly maintenance so the print nozzle does not clog. The print quality is fine for what I printed so far, but I haven't tried to print anything graphic heavy yet. So far so good.

    Good Printer but...

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

The only reason that I didn't give this printer a five is that, while it does print double-sided, the auto-document feeder does not scan double-sided. This has been a serious irritation so far. Print quality is good, but speed is somewhat slow. It's also obvious that Epson lowered the product cost (to them) and increased the margin to compensate for the lost money on ink. This resulted in a build quality much lower than some other printers with a much lower price. I don't mind this much, but some may.

Thank goodness a printer manufacturer finally gets it. Sure, you can buy a super cheap printer, and then use super expensive ink that needs to be replaced endlessly. Take my advice, spend more upfront and you will be waaaay happier. It claims to be able to print 11,000 monochrome or 8,500 color pages with included ink. That's fantastic. The refills are cheap. Print quality is great! Speed is great. Set up was easy. It's a tad loud and don't forget to pull out the tray to catch the pages as they print otherwise they'll fall on the floor. Otherwise a terrific printer and I highly recommend. Wait til it goes on sale and you'll never regret it. Never worry about ink again.

    A step backwards for EPSON

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I bought the ET-4750 to replace a 6-year old EPSON WF-3540 inkjet, which worked well but I wanted to get something with a smaller footprint. Aside from the smaller footprint and better pricing on ink, however, it is an inferior product in multiple ways compared to the less advanced printer that it replaced. First, the color print quality is middling at best. Colors have a faded, washed out appearance and lack sharp definition along the edges, even at enhanced settings. My older, cartridge-based printer had MUCH better color print quality. That said, black text prints well. Second, the printer is incredibly noisy. When it starts printing it makes a grating, high-pitched sound. Though, that subsides a bit as it gets underway. Third, it takes super long to print on any of the enhanced quality settings; the printer seems starved for RAM or may have a very weak CPU. Fourth, it has no auto-duplexing, which my older, less advanced model had. Admittedly, I should have confirmed that feature before I bought it, but I had assumed that since this had an ADF, it would duplex too. Fifth, the user interface is a total joke. The on-device screen looks like something from the mid-1990s. EPSON needs more inventive software developers. Also, the touchscreen is too tiny to manipulate; it's very easy to accidentally hit the wrong area and be whisked away to a different screen. Sixth, in the ads, the colors in the storage tanks pop. Complete nonsense. When you fill them up, they all have the same black/gray appearance from outside. Not that that is a big deal from a product utility standpoint, but it was kind of a cool feature. Other than the cost-saving aspect of the ink, this printer is inferior in multiple ways to EPSON's older product. It feels like they cheaped out on all of the components except for the ink.

Looking online the Epson Workforce ecotank et-4750 was listed as "Great for Business" but I would have to disagree. Positive Marks: Ink cost very low Print quality was great Scan quality was above average Negative Marks: Loud-As if a blender all of a sudden started. Small touch screen-Would have been the perfect screen for a five year old. Scan Speed very slow Scan's often interrupted User interface connection to computer is simply a step up from DOS programming. Had to download several different packages just to scan one document. Print speed slow Output tray smaller than pages being printed off, would consistently fall off printer to floor.

Switched to a tank printer got tired of ink cartridges. The cartidges and laser dry ink is crazy expensive. These tank printers are cool. When you buy ink they just come in bottles and you simply refill the tank. In comparison, when you spend $20 on black refill gives you another 6500+ pages, same with color which is $40. Printer comes ready with 11,000 page printing capacity which is awesome. Prints good to, double sided printing is a little slow but something I can oversee with the ink savings

I scanned a National Geographic cover, printed out a copy, laid them side by side, photographed them, then asked my skeptical dispatcher to choose which was which from the photo. Yes, there was a couple quirks--have to set the thickness to print card stock, take out the paper to print out envelopes, but I am so happy to get HP off my monthly payroll--a savings of over $70 a month--that is is damnwell worth it.

So I bought this to replace an HP printer scanner. The printing quality is good for home use. This includes school work and some family photos. The scanner on the other hand needs improvement. I was in the habit of scanning my bills so I do not have office clutter. This scanner jams. I am trying to scan 5 to 10 pages at a time and it is horrible. The pages don't go in straight and get jammed. I have tried several time to make the pages as flat as possible and it still gets jammed. Very frustrating and I am not tryin to do anything more than my HP did. For this price the entire unit should work, not just the printer. I am very disappointed and would not buy it again. Especially for the price.
