The Epson Workforce 4740 is a great printer and scanner for the price. Don not call Epson support it is in a 3rd world country and they don't speak English any problems I had Best buy geek squad was able to help.

I had an earlier version Workforce that did not last nearly as long as it should have, but I thought I would give Epson one more try. Presently, I am pleased. The cartridges are shamefully expensive, though. I am very frugal on my printing in color as a result. That is why I give it 4 stars instead of 5. As for functionality, it is a 5 star printer.

So far the printer works great and easy to use. I am still trying to figure hoe to send via email.

Be aware we are consuming ink like a Hungry Hungry Hippo with this printer. If you do the math on the published data and cost for the ink replacement, you'll find that per sheet cost is $.04. I purchased a higher end printer for a small business some time back and was looking at cost per sheet more around $.01 per sheet. Unfortunately, I did not look into that for this printer and, notably, its cost per sheet was not advertised. Also, keep in my that cost is under ideal circumstances. Note, the yield estimates have some caveats to them. As as last comment on cost per page - I can only speak anecdotally as this unit does not appear to have the ability to let you know how many sheets it has printed since installation - we do not believe we are getting anywhere near the yields advertised. We've already seen all cartridges replaced twice in the 7-8 months we have had it. So, that is about $260 in ink when, I would say we hadn't spent that much in the last 5 years prior to this printer. Covid may have had SOME impact but not to anywhere near that degree. Ok, on to the next thing. We do not understand the automatic ink replenishment program from Best Buy. We are getting a cartridge delivered tomorrow and my wife says the current cartridge appears to be between 1/3 and 1/2 full. Also, a cartridge was damaged in shipment in September. I am unaware of any notice from Best Buy. Also, we did not receive a replacement shipment nor did we receive a credit. Some six weeks after the incident - in which, again, we never even new about the incident - it is still under review. And last lastly, I had to make 3 different calls to Best Buy tonight trying to inquire about the replinishment program. I kept having connectivity issues even though my phone had worked fine just a few minutes earlier. Ultimately, I never got anyone with a a good connection who either I could understand or who could understand me. When I got disconnected on my third call, I gave up. The printer itself is good enough but if we are truly using ink at the rate of $130 every 3-4 months, we will not be able to afford that. There is an XL version of at least the black ink that is much more economical but we are not able to figure out how to resupply with that on in the auto supply program.

Boy was this an easy setup to do! I can't believe how quite the printing is compared to the other printer that broke. I know I cannot go wrong with this name brand and you won't either. Very pleased!

It was time to replace my older version which lasted a few years, and it was a bundle deal savings. I love the brand and continue to purchase as replacements. Even though the ink seems to go quickly but I print A LOT. The biggest negative is that it is pretty noisy even though there is a quiet setting. This model has a lot of programming options available. We love this! It's a little bulky and heavy, but is a great printer. It's fast and concise. Goes thru ink quickly which most printers do now.

You can load two sizes of paper at once, in my case I loaded 4x6 photo paper and 8.5x11 letter paper. When printing you have to select the size on the screen and on the printer for each print. The printer wouldn't remember paper sizes. The ET-7700 works much better for this.

Once I learned the appropriate settings I was well off! Purchased in order to do inkjet prints for heat transfers onto clothing and apparel. Works amazingly and gives impeccable quality.

Very fast printer. Easy interface. No problems with printing via AirPrint, CloudPrint, Wifi. This replaced a Canon, and I'd never go back.

I wanted a really good printer to handle business documents and activity because I do a lot of work from home. This printer truly is a work horse. It's fast and pretty quiet and the paper capacity is great - I don't have to continuously add paper. Set up on my MAC and MacBook Pro was very easy - no issues. This was a trade up from another brand that was more for photo printing which I don't do a lot of. This printer is a much better fit for my needs. The ink is expensive but that seems to be a common theme with all printers.
