Decent but slow scanning.

When I first got the printer, it was great. It is fast, produces good quality prints, the ink seems to last reasonably, the scans were high quality with minimal artifacts, and it gave me virtually no issues for the first two years. My only real complaint during the first two years was the annoying message every week or two that prompted me to update the firmware. I have never seen a printer that had so many firmware updates in my life. But other than that, I really liked this printer. However, this printer also came with a two year warranty. So, no surprise, you do the math. At 2 years and 3 weeks, amazingly it started throwing an error "100016 Scanner Error". This happens right at boot up and there is no way to clear it. So, even if I don't want to use the scanner and wish to just print to it, no luck. The whole thing is shot. I have checked the device over thoroughly and cannot find any obvious hardware failure. Now, I try not to read into this too much, but it is very interesting that Epson kept applying a bunch of "software" updates and at just a few weeks after the warranty expired, it is rendered useless. Overall, I got the printer for a fair price and it lasted 2 years, but it could have and should have lasted longer.

Epson WorkForce Pro WF-4740 Wireless Printer

This double sided scanner is great, saves lots of time when scanning two sided documents. The scanner will even scan legal sized paper which is double sided. A great value and improved my productivity!

My favorite aspect to this printer is the print over email feature, allowing me to be several miles away from my home office and being able to still print while not on the same WiFi network.

Been using for some time with no big issues. Wish the ink lasted a bit longer and would also be nice if the "find in scanned copy" features were possible from printer selected scans and not just through the app, but overall, still a happy buy worth 5 stars.
