The ink cartridges that I purchased for the HP wireless printer have been lasting for less and less sheets over the last several purchase, and this is not the only printer/printer brand, that I have noticed having this issue. It seems that as the age of the printer increases the replacement filters holding less and less ink, as proven by the fewer and lighter copies that are provideed by these new cartridges.

We've had some Epson printers that work very well, and some that are horrible, but this one is really an excellent printer. It's very dependable. The only cons would be that the toner is pretty expensive, and it also uses a toner waste container (Maintenance box), which you sometimes have to hunt down online.

The machine, in general, worked well, but it died on me after exactly 2 years of use. And Epson Support was not able (or willing) to help do anything to fix it, since it was outside of the 1-year warranty. Also, the printer cartridges are expensive to replace, and don't seem to last as long as they should. A lot of money spent for only 2 years of use.

Easy to use with air technology and sleek look design

I bought this printer to replace an Epson 840 that I have used for years. If we get as long out of this one that I did out of that one, then it will be a great printer. Set up was smooth and so far printing is very good. We use in a small office with multiple users so lots of pages printed in a day.

I bought this since I had older epson in my classroom that seemed to last forever. This one also in my classroom and daily use. You do have to be mindful of 'empty paper tray'. If that happens it pulls last few pages of paper through all at once and then 'jam' comes on. that is a pain, but manageable. Otherwise good printer. It is a little slow with F&B printing, but again manageable.

I asked the in store tech support for a recommendation, and expected to go with another HP printer, but he recommnd d the Epson 4740. Colo and image quality is very good, and it linked into th home network very easily. My wife likes the wireless print capability from her phone and iPad.

Having trouble with fax messing up my phone calls now and then. Dn't know why and have not had time to check it out. I currently have the phone line to the printer unplugged.

Epson printer is Worth the price. Very good performance, very big and heavy weight and very competitive price.

So far it has been better than the other brand of printer, but this one sometimes grabs too many sheets at once. Other than that, really good!

Difficult to setup if you're used to HP Officejet products or a novice, particularly in regarding scan to PDF conversions. Only cassette 1 can be specified to hold special papers. However, once reconfigured... I won't be going back to HP after having used their products for 30+ years.

This is a great little workhorse of a printer. As a farm we use this printer for invoices and many letters. The scanner does a very efficient job and is great. This is a very quality built printer for the cost and has many wonderfully useful features.
