This printer is pretty much a duplicate if my old printer. The only drawback with this is the ink consumption. My old printer seemed to be more economical with the ink.

This includes when using Epson Bright paper made by Epson. Adjustments to paper type are numerous, BUT ADJUSTMENTS TO PAPER TYPE HAVE NOT STOPPED MULTIPLE SHEETS BEING PULLED TO PRINT ONE SHHET, EVEN WITH EPSON BRIGHT PAPER AND ADJUSTMENTS. This printer REQUIRES a new ink cartridge after each Epson update, even with. a newly installed full Black ink cartridge is installed. The Epson updates require a new cartridge be installed in order to resume printing. This is obviously a programming practice that ensures Epson can make more money. We loose as a consumer. There is no adjustment to paper type that stops multiple paper pulls. The density of print is poor! When adjusted to a deeper print density, the background to the paper darkens proportionately, producing poor readability and poor print copy while using more ink.

EXCELLENT PRINTER UPGRADE

Is a a lot faster than my old printer, which was 15 years old, and this one is wireless which, needless to say, makes for less clutter, also makes it easy to relocate.

This does not have anything to do with print quality or speed. It is for the set-up. I've had it half set up for 8 days now. I can't get the scan to e-mail working because you need port #'s and stuff like that. The online directions tell you to contact your internet provider. With my old HP printer, you just connect it to your WIFI, enter your e-mail and it sent an e-mail Not with this one. I haven't had time to call Epson yet for help either.

It's kind of a disappointment...

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.For the short amount of time I've had the printer, it performs very well - print, copy, and auto duplex scanning. I can't comment on "faxing" as I don't have a landline. BUT less then two weeks after having the printer, it had to be replaced by Epson due to a "hardware" issue with the scanner. The warranty issue was easy to resolve except for the inconvenience. Hopefully this issue is not a sign of things to come...

It prints fast and is easily programmable for specific job needs. The two trays allow for flexibility in media needs and the page feeder is fast and reliable. This is my second Epson home printer (I love the reliability and quality of Epson products!) the first Epson lasted 16 years and I had to replace it only because specs of the new computer was not supportive.
