Worst printer ever, where to start. It consistently loses Wifi connection, for me I did it easier to power off and restart to get it to connect again, but it is a real inconvenience when trying to print from another room. Epson in it's greed has bricked the use of aftermarket ink cartridges, this was due to a firmware update. When i bought the unit non-Epson cartridges worked just fine. Paper handling is such a hassle, more than it has to be. For example if you want to print to tabloid size you can't just tell it to print to tabloid from your computer you also have to change the paper size assigned to the paper tray. In my case I have Legal in the lower tray and occasionally print to Tabloid or 12X18. I have to go to the printer and change the settings of the lower tray to the paper size i want to print. As an architect with a home office I needed a large format printer and scanner for the occasional half size print but compared to the HP I had before this is total garbage. I keep waiting for a firmware or software update that will improve the printer but after several years nothing. I cannot express how much i HATE this printer, so much that i am writing this review. Epson you used to be such a great brand you can do better.

Almost 2 years old and going strong. Zero complaints besides ink, but that’s very printers issue. Wide format printing and flat printijg a great feature and can print from iPhone

good heavy duty printer, however if printing double sides, it does slant the paper when pulling back in, so always ends up printing page two with slight tilt. i usually dont do double sided printing, so ok for me.

This Epson printer is fabulous. I print on a lot of card stock and this printer handles it all perfectly. I've printed many times and the ink levels are still full. There is a lot to this WF-7840 so I am learning every day. I'm very fussy about printers and this does NOT disappoint. This is my 2nd Epson WF printer.

I was looking for a all purpose business home machine one with yhe capabilities of performing more tham one thing if needed and something up to modern technology standards and this is the one great buy so far so good.

This printer is better than all the HP printers I’ve used over the years. The connection to the computer doesn’t drop out randomly and I love that you can set up multiple paper sizes and types in the trays

This thing is a piece of junk. It doesn't allow you to email scanned documents. You cannot press the scan button on the printer itself - you need the app. The app itself is not very user friendly and you have to have an elevated knowledge of cloud storage to use it appropriately. The printer's default settings print on both sides of the pages and no matter how many times you try to change it, if it is a word document it will keep printing on both sides. PDF documents seem to be ok. This thing gobbles up ink like its thanksgiving dinner and won't work if just one of the cartridges are empty. Recently I got a "Printing Error - Stopped 'Filter' Failed" message and to fix the issue there is a complete manual. I tried resetting, rebooting, reinstalling, updating, and nothing works. I have only printed about one and a half reams worth of paper so far it is totally bogus. I just got this a few months ago and I am super disappointed. I missed deadlines because of this printer. If you have projects that have time sensitive deadlines then stay away from this. I will never buy Epson again. I want a refund but I think I am out of the warranty period. I understand the need to sometimes call customer service but it is ridonculous to have to call for basic things all printers in 2023, especially "home business" printers, should be able to do easily.

I really do like this printer, however it eats ink like no printer I've ever used! You can't even find replacement "cyan" cartridges sold individually. Probably because everyone is constantly buying them. The printer does work well and I love the 11" x 17" capabilities, but the cost of this ink is going to force me to go back to HP so I can get back on there $10 a month ink package. That was only costing me $120 a year for ink, while I've already spent over $300 in just a few months!

It's a nice printer but the only reason I'm not giving it a 5 star, is due to the cartridge you have to constantly buy ink and I barely use it.
