For the home office this one might be more than your office can handle depending on your setup, if you are like mine that shares its space with the guest room, it might seem a little big. I set it up on drawer rollers in the standard size closet and it fits perfectly to allow the closet doors to close and then I can pull it out whenever I need it. It also suggests you use two people to move the printer and depending on who you are that might not be a bad idea. Now to why it was worth it to build a shelf, put power in the closet, and build a sliding system. Because this printer really starts to get to the definition of do it all for a home printer, I have to review drawings and we haven’t been given any cool cools like a surface book to review are drawings digitally though work so sometimes printing engineering prints just needs to happen, even if the field drawings are D sized, 11x17 gets the job done for reviewing (we even did this when we were in the office to save printing giant D sized drawings) This printer has kept me from going into the office a few times already just to print some papers and then leave, we aren’t encouraged to stay around the office unless we absolutely need to right now. When you load 11x17 into the bottom trays (the biggest the bottom trays can handle) the tray sticks out further than the printer, just be aware of that. If you want to print 13x19 you need to use the back feeder. As you can probably tell my favorite feature about this printer is its ability to print 11x17, legal, or several other paper sizes in a size that while not small, still fits in my home office/guest room. Obviously, the ability to scan up to 11x17 is extremely helpful for me as now I can scan in my mark ups and I’m good to email them to my coworkers. 11x17 is the biggest you can scan from what I can tell but the only thing I’ve figured out what to use 13x19 for is giant pictures just because I wanted to see how well it would work. Just a hint there, give your pictures like 10 min before trying to smear them (not sure why you would besides just to see how fast it would dry) but I tested at 1, 2, and 3 min before waiting to 10 and the first there was smearing with my finger, it didn’t transfer all the ink to anything it touched almost immediately but I could still smear it for a bit. So bigger take away is do not frame something you print immediately unless you only want to use that frame once. So, to the more regular review… Setup: Was a breeze really, I didn’t bother with the CD as my drive has been at work since all this began and I don’t have a built in one to any of my devices. I set it up on Wi-Fi, With such a big touchscreen it was all done on the printer itself and was really simple, then Windows 10 immediately picked it up when I went to add a printer and I was done for my laptop, I was able to print different sizes, double sided etc. Same with my wife’s chromebook, her iphone, and my android phone, besides the android had to have the Epson printer app installed. Now if that printing is good enough then you don’t actually need to do anything else, in fact I used it for a bit just like that… then I needed to scan something, that’s when I had to go to the support page and download the drivers and utilities combo package (that I assume was on the CD). It will find your printer on the network and not try to set it up again, then it’ll go through the whole process of trying to register you and such. It will also let you setup the print to cloud feature which is quite nice. It isn’t hard to install you just have to step through the process and gives you the ability to configure the printer to how you need straight from your computer. It will even set up with your permission an email address for the printer so you can just email your document to said printer and it will print. Which will be nice when I’m not at home 99% of the time. Using it: The paper trays are initially plain 8.5x11 so if you are printing regular old stuff from all the trays no setup there is needed. One of the more annoying features here is that if you to try to print to a 11x17, the paper in the tray is 11x17 but it is set to 8.5x11 there isn’t a button right there to fix it, the easiest way I found was to cancel the job and reprint after fixing the setting. But at the same time the menu on the printer is extremely easy to navigate and there is a dedicated button for pulling up the tray settings. The tray for paper that is finished being printed automatically pops out so you don’t have that issue where you print something from the other room and come in to find paper all over the floor from being spit out with out a landing place. That scanner is high quality but takes a little time to get started. Then again, I am just happy I can scan 11x17 without using a scanner app from my phone that works… just not as good as a real scanner. Pros: Multitude of paper types Large touchscreen All-in-one design and compact for what it offers Ink dries fast for normal printing stuff OCR function for scanning documents Auto ejecting paper landing tray Cons: A CD comes in the box (A giant QR code to scan for the download would be more useful) Tray sticks out with 11x17 (obviously this would have to be bigger to not stick out but still a con Pictures take some time to dry I would definitely recommend this printer.

Hands down the worst printer I have ever purchased. This printer will not stay connected to the WiFi router. I chose this printer for its many functions but very few of them I’ve been able to use due to it not staying connected to the WiFi. I’ve always bought Epsom printers but this one has made me rethink their product. I give it negative 5 stars.

this is the worst printer. To many tech issues, very temperamental. Goes down at least once every two weeks. Tech support is awful. Also, they send software updates to your computer un authorized Printer does not print with generic ink at all. Their Ink cost a fortune. Stay away.

    Bad Printer

Bought this printer as a replacement for an older Epson XP-15000 ( which is a fantastic printer). We only needed a printer that could print large size 19X13 paper. Bought this as it states it does, after setting up and using for about a week, turns out it has a mind of its own. I state for it to print (1) and it prints (6, 7). I don't plan on using any of the other functions, just as a printer. At times when printing it just decides to print on both sides (I have never changed the print settings) it is set to print 1 side yet prints on both. Quite frequently it states its out of paper, it has 20 or 30 sheets in the tray. If I could I'd take it back...but its after the 15 day return.
