I have always liked Epson for Printers. Like others I have owned this one does not disappoint. It has two paper feed drawers so I can run two different sizes of paper without having to swap it out. The qualities is good and the speech is great.

I’m an engineer and mainly use this for printing and QCing 11x17 telco designs. The quality of the print is great as well as the scanning. My only gripe is that it can be a little on the slower side when it comes to printing and scanning. For myself it’s not a big deal because I use it in my home office alone. If you wanted to use this in a main office with several people needing it, I think it would be better to get something faster.

needing wide-format printing and comprehensive all-in-one functionality. Its strengths lie in its large paper capacity, versatile connectivity, and duplex capabilities. However, potential buyers should be aware of the higher ink costs.

I bought this to be able to print faster in bulk vs my existing printer. It does that well, but I only gave 4 stars for the scanning quality when it is B&W and grayscale. If there is a way to make it better, it is not easy to find.

Buying this new multi-function machine was easy with Best Buy, and it actually came two days earlier than promised. the Epson - WorkForce Pro WF-7840 Wireless Wide-format All-in-One Printer seems to be constructed well for the price, and I like having two paper trays. I was disappointed, however, that it lacks single-pass scanning, thought many online reviews said it has it. 2-sided scanning is accomplished in the ADF which flips it and then turns it back over before ejecting. It takes longer, and there is a higher chance of jamming and skewed pages.

Functionality - this is the ONLY printer that prints B size and does double sided color copy and scan! We searched for another when our first one failed just a couple months short of the two year warranty. So, we stayed with the same model. Seems like there have been some improvements. Unfortunately, doesn't have an ink tank, but then no one else does with the same functionality offered by this model. Came with improved/more friendly software for cataloging the scanned images.

Ink cartridge yield is really 30-40 pages

I purchased a WF-7840 last year and print very infrequently. In January, the printer said that it was out of black ink and that it would not print – even in color – until the black was replaced. I purchased a replacement Epson T812, Black Ink Cartridge (T812120-S) from Epson on Jan 10, 2023, In April, the printer said it was out of color ink and would not print – even in black and white – until the color was replaced. I purchased the Epson T812, Color Standard-Capacity Ink Cartridges, C/M/Y 3-Pack (T812520-S) again, direct from Epson. Today it has told me that it is out of black ink again. This time I looked on the Usage Status page on the printer and the total lifetime pages printed are: Total Number of Pages : 123 Total Number of B&W Pages : 89 Total Number of Color Pages : 34 This means that a black ink cartridge has a capacity of 44 ½ pages and a color cartridge around 30 pages. I have no expectation that Epson has any interest whatsoever addressing this, so I'm sharing this in hopes that this may help others avoid Epson products until or unless they change their business practices.

I have a love-mostly-hate relationship with this machine. The scanner is terrific and quite smart. It prints beautifully - really rich, gorgeous graphics. That is, WHEN you can get it to print. I consistently have connectivity issues, despite it being connected directly to the modem - and having excellent signal. Unless you're printing a single page, you better buckle up and stick around because you are going to be babysitting this dumb thing the entire time. The paper feed sensor is faulty, so often says it's out of paper, despite there being plenty in place. About every 5th page you print, it will say it has a jam (it does not). And if you're printing anything glossy (photo paper, labels, etc), you can only load one page at a time because it will take all the sheets and feed them through and destroy your paper in the process. It never remembers your settings, even after you program them in. Oh and the ink! I have had a lot of printers in my day, but I have never seen a printer consume ink like this does. And the ink prices have almost doubled since I bought it two years ago. Avoid this printer - it will only lead to your hemorrhaging money in ink and banging your head into a wall in utter frustration.

Went thru different all-in-one printers - buying and returning - before finding this one; it does it all! Double-side printing and scanning, double paper tray, documents feeder, big display, you just name it. And all that for a very reasonable price.
