Coming from a cheap Cobra detector that was falsing so much it was useless the IX is night and day better. The jerk water town I drive through for my commute with their crooked cops hiding behind bushes and bill boards are getting picked off everyday by this detector. Money well spent

Great unit with excellent range. Only wish is that you could disable K band. It tends to pick up a ton of K band frequencies. App is nice and unit is sharp. Also wish you could set the physical buttons to stay lit all the time (fade after a few seconds).

It gives you less false notices but these that do get by can be fixed so that they won't bother you anymore. I don't like the cost factor in joining others who might have information on your trip that could help you change your route or look out for detection.

Warns me well in advance...easily two miles before Police Activity on Highway

Does a great job. Wish that the manual would give a detail of all the codes.

Easy to use out of the box great value for the price

The Escort iX is quite amazing.. It is very easy to set up and sync with the Bluetooth on your smartphone. With the smartphone I also sync it with my car audio (if I want) so the alerts are voice through my car speakers and I can't miss them if my music is too loud. I have already logged about 4500 miles using this radar detector and it picks up all the signals it should pick up and lets me block non-police related signals at a click of the unit or on the Escort phone app. Lets say a cell tower, for instance, always pings a signal to your radar... just tap block and the unit will NOT register that particular detection ever again, it learns and stores those locations to avoid a non necessary alert. It also picks up the radar/lidar police signals from at least a mile, close to 2 miles, if you are on a long, flat straight away. You can also tap on the Alert button when you have or see a verified officer on the side of the road so other Escort drivers passing through that area will be alerted before they arrive, they are made aware of the situation well before hand. In short, a great unit that can save you many times during your travels!!!

Does pick up security systems as passing but very easy to set up and use

I used this product mostly while driving my daily route, I recently went on an out of state trip and this detector paid for itself more then once, everything from red light cameras, speed traps and in traffic patrol cars were in some cases detected miles before I could actually see them on my Wayz app or in real time w/my own eyes

This thing is extremely good! So far I have used it on my commutes when I speed. It will pick up many radars including non law enforcement but it will also intuitively remember the false alarms and lock them out. Usually detects things a mile to .5miles out. Also the app is a great feature that works with surrounding app users to mark actual radar pings and allows users to map the cops location. When compared to cost of a violation and the repercussions the money spent on this is well worth it.

Replaced an old Escort 8500 X50. Much fewer false alarms, greater range, just better overall. However, does not feel as robust as the old unit it replaced.

Excellent radar detector. It has several features that will make your commute less challenging.

This to me is an excellent purchase for my needs. Its footprint is much smaller than the Max360 yet it does what is says. The IX has taken all false signals from my normal routes and has them stored along with the database updates how can you go wrong? I have been saved a few times already and I am impressed with its detection capabilities both from behind the vehicle as well as in front. So far very impressed and happy I chose this detector!!

I love this radar detector. Its long range detecting is second to none! Passport is the best of the best when it comes to radar detector's and a decent price. They are all I will own.

Clean displays, easy to set up and learn. The displays are easy to understand so you don’t need to take your eyes off the road.

I did a lot of research on radar detectors and this is the one to buy! The phone app keeps track of people that have reported speed traps and or traffic camera's that issue tickets. Has a lot of features and works perfectly. I have already been saved a few times by this thing and I cannot recommend higher!
