Good radar detector
This is a great radar I love the magnetic attachment for quick release when storming it out of sight. The radar has a few instances of false alarms but when there are cops shooting radar it definitely lets you know way ahead of time. The only thing I don’t like was the price and the fact that you have to pay for the location services if you want them

Reasonable detector a little pricey
I am happy with this detector. I have a 9500ix, which is the older version of this detector, in my car and my wife uses the Escort iX. Like the previous detector, the iX can be chatty on K band around town, you can set it to learn the location of static K band sources, such as CVS automatic door sensors, but still certain cars, Cadillacs and Audis come to mind, pollute enough to require the mute button. There is on the iX a selection for low sensitivity for K band, but I haven't tried it; I should because police in my area seem to use Ka band, not K band. A feature that I like that is not on the 9500 is the ability to use the Escort Live App. I can run this app on my mobile phone which connects to the iX using Bluetooth. The app warns me, real time, of radar alerts generated by other people in other cars using the Escort Live App, so I get advanced warning of police radar from someone else. This would be especially useful for a laser speed trap -- CT State Police use laser all the time -- because laser warning in these detectors is very, very, very last minute and you should expect to use the laser detection of any radar detector as a ticket confirmation notification. So, to have advanced notice of police using laser is great. The downside to using the Ecort Live App is that I really like to use Waze. In addition to routing information, Waze warns of police traps, also, but not based on receiving an actual radar or laser alert, but when another person using Waze manually logs the police location. In real world driving, I have found Waze and Escort Live App to be as reliable as each other and to provide about the same range of warning. Other than that, I think I would like the arrows featured on the Escort 360, to know where the radar source was relative to my direction of travel, and I think the iX is overpriced (but I bought it, so ....). In summary, the iX is a good detector, chatty on K band, works well for Ka, and the Escort Live App is a plus, especially of you don't use Waze.

Already paid for itself!
Since I bought this it has already saved me from possibly 6 tickets and allowed me to drive whatever speed I want. The range is great and being able to make fixed locations with “your speed is..” signs is a real treat. And the new mag mount system is simply the best I’ve ever seen.

Fantastic detector
The range this detector can provide, which of course depends on the signal type and topography, is great. I love its ability to learn and mute false alarms based on gps locations. And the app with user marked locations of known traps, cameras, etc. is a great benefit in unfamiliar areas. In about a month of having this, it's already saved me from a few potential tickets on routine 100 mile trips to our campground through rural areas.
