On app not a lot of useful Infromation displayed. Plus phone is usually some distance from driver making it too difficult to read and drive safely. Not sure a cheaper model can not be as useful.

The idea is that you place is somewhere near someone, and they go crazy trying to find the source. That device might be more useful than this radar. I had a Max for years - and when I upgraded my car, I decided upgrade my radar. The Max performed very well - not perfect, but it was reliable. It’s performance is what kept me in the Escort family when looking to upgrade. That was a mistake. Too often I get KA alerts for I don’t even know what. More often than that I get rear K alerts for I don’t know what either. In the last month twice (twice!!) I’ve drive by a PO pointing a radar gun at me and no alert was produced by the Max 360c I have on. Do I have it mounted right? Yes - I have a Blendmount comfortably holding it in the right spot. It’s no different than the placement of the Max I had previously. I wanted to love this detector because it’s previous model was reliable and I needed to convince myself it was worth the cost. After about 3 months with this, the only notable thing about it is that it might end up being the most regrettable purchase of 2020.

Make sure you are using the most up to date firmware by connecting the detector to a computer using a USB cable and running our Detector Tools Pro software. Also to reduce false alerts, be sure you use the detector in Auto SEN mode.
If a device is being aimed at you, this is laser. Laser uses a narrow laser beam and is aimed at your headlights and front plate. Mounting your detector lower on your windshield will improve laser detection performance.

Meh, not worth the price tag

Haven't actually seen a police car tracking speed yet when it's beeping at me. Very loud, which could be a good thing if it was actually detecting radar the police use.

I’m not saying it is not, BUT it isn’t loud at all. I updated and turned volume up and it still wasn’t very loud at all. If you have the radio on you won’t be able to hear it.

Radio off, windows up, no one else in the car...usually can't make out what's being said. Very poor for the price. Updated the red light database, but still misses 70% of the cameras. Had a Passport 9500ix for over 5 years...loved it! Often had to turn it down. To bad the volume isn't as good on the Max 360c.

Then I had all light light up red 6 diffetent times and norhing was around. The wifi was in and out.

Now I'm having problems connecting to wifi for firmware updates. I haven't been able to update in over 3 months and the 360c gives me constant false alerts, starting in my garage at times. Put my Uniden R3 back in my car and am much happier with it. Unfortunately I'm stuck with my Max 360c. Not what I expected for the price. If you want a quality detector go with Uniden R3 or R7.

Posted .We're sorry to hear that you are having issues updating MAX 360c over Wi-Fi. You will need to use the Escort Live app to enter the password for your Wi-Fi hotspot. Afterwards the app is no longer needed. The detector will check for firmware updates when it connects to the hotspot and prompt you to update if any are available. For further assistance, call us at 800-543-1608 during our hours of Monday-Friday, 9am-5:00pm EST.

It’s constantly going off yet there are no cops. If there is a electronic Road sign it goes off, is I pass a store with auto does it goes off if I’m driving in the middle of nowhere and there is nothing in sight it still will go off. I hate it. Then j actually do see cops and guess what? That’s right it does nothing.... If i I wanted to find a automatic door I would have found a different source. I did research and seen so many good reviews so that’s why I went with this unit, maybe I just purchased a faulty one. This it’s my honest review on my experience with this product. I Highly do not recommend this product

Posted .We're sorry to hear that you did not enjoy MAX 360c. MAX 360c will automatically learn, store and ignore false alerts from fixed location radar sources as you drive. It takes about 3 passes by them before it stores them. You can also manually store them by pressing the Mute button three times. Police do not always transmit radar and laser so you will not automatically receive an alert when they are nearby. Using Auto SEN mode will also help reduce false alerts as it learns which are false alerts.
