A: I actually purchased the r7 first. Then exchanged for max 360c. I regret it. The r7 detected all bands better. Only issue was the arrows were a bit inconsistent and it was definitely a noisier detector. Max 360c definitely had better filtering for false alerts. Plus the benefit of auto lockouts. But sometimes the 360c would lock out signals that you dont want locked out. The 360c seems to alert just barely in time to slow down while the r7 would alert from extremely far away. I had gotten the r7 when it first came out so the firmware it was on wasnt dialed in yet. But they have updated it and fixed a lot of the issues since I had it. The max 360c have yet to fix the simplest of issues like speed limit not showing when connected to wif. I have called and emailed them repeatedly, and tons of owners have also inquired to escort on their forums without issues being fixed. If you don't mind occasional false alarms I would go r7. If u want a quiet radar with real threat alerts just in time to be able to slow down go with max 360c. Side note, I passed by a photo radar in Denver today and my max360c didnt make a sound. And your question about passing police with no alert. It will only alert if they have their radar turned on. If they are using laser chances are it will not pick it up.
Q: Do you installation of this detector within the car itself? Audi RS7 2015...
A: This particular detector is a windshield mount detector with a suction cup. The max 360 ci is the one that is installed in the vehicle permanently
Q: Can this be detected by the authorities
A: Yes...but the Red-line escort cannot.
Q: Does this sound off at every new car or truck on the road with gps or early warning detectors?
A: No. You have the ability to block out any signal received, too. It doesn’t pick up false signals unless you configure it to.
Q: Does this radar detector come with a visor mount?
A: No. Suction windshield only. Blend mount makes one that allows for mount under rear view mirror though.
A: It comes with a 90 day camera database subscription that is activated when you register the detector. The subscription is only to access updates which are released weekly. Without a subscription it will still alert to cameras you just cannot update the database with new locations.
Q: will the 360 maxc detect the newer multiradar/MRCD bands?
A: Yes it detects Multaradar CD. Note that Multaradar CD detection is off by default. Enable it in the preferences menu,
