This is one of the nicest indoor security cams I have worked with. Very easy to set up and best of all, no cloud storage needed! My only hiccup was installing the SD card. It actually hides in the bottom of the tilting camera head and all you need to do is gently push it up to reveal the slot. Very ingenious. The ability to tilt and pan remotely to check out things in a room is really nice. Video quality is more than enough for my needs too. The AI human detection works very well and the sound activated pan and tilt will send you exactly the information you need. Definitely a great value for the price. I highly recommend.

This is a wired indoor security camera. Because it’s wired, there are some limitations, obviously because it has to be plugged in near the area you want to keep an eye on. The provided USB power cord is about 78” long, and includes a plug. This security camera has a lot of capabilities, but you would probably want to have a specific situation in mind to use this. Also, no subscription is needed for this camera, but if you want to review anything that happened earlier, then you would need something. There is no memory card provided with this, and you can operate it without, but then you are only getting the real time view, no rewind or review capabilities. There is a slot for a memory card, but I have no idea what size or type would fit, and I didn’t find this information anywhere on this site. When I was testing this unit I decided to set this up as a spy cam pointed at my cat’s eating area. When the cat finally got up to eat, an alarm went off, which I was surprised to know it had this feature. I personally can’t think of any time I would want an alarm sound to go off when it spots something, but for sure not for a cat! This camera swivels and tilts 360 degrees to “see”, and you can control it through the app, which is a good feature. For me, I would set this up when I go out of town, I wouldn’t use it on a regular daily basis, I’m just home too often. I unplugged the unit, and plugged it in again to see how it worked afterwards. It connected to the app and wifi without having to go through a bunch of steps, which is great.

    Great Camera, App and Price

I've been using the EUFY indoor cam mini security camera for the last week. Overall, I think it is a great camera that offers a lot of value for a small price. A few things I love about the camera is that It's small, light, records clear video, and has a 360 degree field of view with pan and tilt. It also doesn't require a subscription to perform advanced features. Such as, recording 24/7 activity or just snapshots of activity, tracking people that walk by and capturing a picture of their face. Another thing I love is the App. With the EUFY Security app I was able to see and control the camera as well as my other EUFY devices. This is also where I can go to view all the recordings the camera captured. Overall the app was easy to use. Some things that I didn't like was, the camera feed is not viewable using the google home app. The motor that controls the camera's movement is audible enough that it can be heard in the recorded video. Also, it needs an SD card for local storage which is not mentioned on the box. With that being said, I still love this camera and think it provides the best bang for your buck. I highly recommend this for anyone that wants a full featured security camera that won't break the bank.

    Excellent Camera

This camera looks like a mini robot. Small compact but quite impressive. It rotates and tilts, and does it quite fast. Set up was fast and easy, Very straight forward. I am using the camera in my garage and had to build a small ledge to mount it. The camera comes with a mounting connector, fairly easy. This allows it to be ceiling mounted as well. I was impressed by how fast the rotation and tilt happen. I have other camera and they are just turtle slow in comparison to this one. I have it set on the 'follow me' so when it detects motion, it will actually follow you, and so it does. Very impressive. It will also track sounds. The camera quality is excellent, and night vision is acceptable. I was actually able to read the license plate of a car which is impressive. I guess the best part is that there are no 'cloud' fees if you install an SD card. A definite plus. Finding the SD card slot is interesting as it is located below the camera itself on a section that moves. You have to gently push up the camera area to find the SD card slot. All in all, I am impressed by this camera and operation. It is a definite improvement over cameras i've had only a year, and much smaller. The camera also has 2 way communication which I have used a few time when I haven't been home but another family member arrives. There is a slight lag but its nothing major. It communicates with Alexa and actually works quite well.

    19 devices & 2 years = costly mistake. Avoid.

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I invested fully into the eufy ecosystem, consisting of 19 devices and a homebase. I have used these devices for over about 2 years now and they are woefully inadequate. The homebase is useless and causes more issues than it solves and is not nearly as capable as it's claimed to, only handling 5 devices and even doing that poorly. Devices will frequently lose connection with it, and the notifications take longer to load from the homebase than from the device itself. The recordings are not easily mansged, and are difficult to view and export. Switching between homebase and your actual wifi causes you to have to factory reset the device to make it work, it does not have the redundancy it claims. The outdoor cams of course worked fine during their warranty period, and now 2 have failed, along with a indoor cam and a smart lock. The failures are hardware issues, not being able to turn on or not recognizing any wifi signal. All support aside for a discount code on new ones has been denied by eufy, even for devices out of warranty by less than a few days. The cameras take forever to connect, have sub par motion sensing, frequently trigger on errenous events, and unless you have a very robust Wi-Fi setup lack clarity and quality in their picture. The app frequently reports devices as disconnected when they physically show connected (status LEDs) and for the door lock will frequently fail to communicate. The app also fails to load correctly, and the notifications are slow and often incomplete. You will not be able to view the actions they notify you of unless you wait a minute or more, even worse and longer if you are using homebase. For the cost of the devices you would be better served with other devices such as Ring or a hardwired setup. I caution anyone against buying into the eufy ecosystem, the only decent cameras have been their solar powered solo cams, and even they trigger erroneously, frequently, and take forever to connect for live view. The app also significantly limits what you can view from them. Their internal storage is also inadequate and not upgradeable. Homebase makes their functionality worse not better. Avoid eufy at all costs. Don't make the thousand dollar mistake I did. Find something better, preferably a hard wired system. 2 years later I am spending another thousand dollars to phase out all the eufy crap I made the poor decision to purchase.

I am really loving the Eufy products so far. I also have the video doorbell and it's works perfectly. So I was excited to try this indoor mini cam and it's doesn't disappoint. They call it mini but it's similar in size to others I have. I was afraid it was going to be very small. But perfect size. It was easy to set up camera and app. Night vision is clear even with all lights off. I just love the 360° pan and tilt feature. This is great to automatically follow sound/motion depends on what you're setting is. But it's also nice that you can use it to scan the surrounding anytime live. The option of privacy nice is great instead of unplugging camera and having to remember to turn back on. Another great thing is it uses SD card to store motion so you don't have to pay for cloud. It had 2 way talk so you can communicate from app to this in front of camera. I paired it with Google which was quick and simple. It can be paired with Alexa as well. My only recommendation is that it has to plugged in to work. I hope the next update, they add rechargeable battery so we can use without keeping plugged in. It can be easily mounted but I have mine on bookcase. Overall, great camera. Also plan on purchasing a couple more as Christmas gifts.

Another excellent indoor camera from Eufy

I received this product in exchange for my fair and unbiased review. The Eufy Indoor Cam Mini is a compact and convenient way to add a pan and tilt camera to your indoor spaces to add an extra layer of security. While not completely silent, the pan and tilt mechanism is quiet enough to not be immediately noticeable unless you’re listening for it. The camera has an astonishingly clear picture in both well-lit and completely dark rooms, with a very bright IR night vision LED system. The option for wall and ceiling mounting is handy, especially for garages and entryways where you want the camera out of the way at all times. RTSP is also supported with this camera if you wish to use a network video recorder to store video. The only drawback is a minor one - the card slot for built-in microSD recording is somewhat difficult to get to for those with large fingers. All in all, the Eufy Indoor Cam Mini is perfect for those who want a camera that can record to itself now and would want to have the option of network recording down the line.

    Another Eufy Homerun

The Eufy mini indoor camera is my third Eufy product and like the 2 before, it is terrific. With the excellent Eufy app you simply add the camera to get started. The connection to my wifi was seamless. Once up and running you can save recordings to a mini sd card, the cloud, or to your NAS if you have one. The camera operates smoothly through the app and has 360 degree rotation and it can pan, tilt and zoom. The picture quality is very good at 2k. You can set notifications for human only if you choose. 2 way communication is an added great feature of the camera. It is a wired camera small in size but big on features and super easy to operate. What I love about Eufy is there is no demand for subscriptions. They allow for non subscription options, i.e. NAS or micro sd storage. That alone would makes this a must buy. The features make it a homerun.

This is a great indoor camera as long as you have a place you can plug it into that is inconspicuous. Great features for a camera at this very reasonable price point include: -2K video, crisp and clear! -Night vision video works pretty decent, not color of course, but still good. -360 pan/tilt is an awesome feature and enables motion tracking and allows for covering a large area. -Since this is an indoor cam, the privacy mode is essential, so you can set it up to only operate when you want it to and point away when you don't. -As with all Eufy cameras - no subscription fees, one time cost for camera and thats it! Great indoor camera, no real complaints!

    Amazing video quality, great value

I just reviewed another indoor "cloud based" camera and I was really shocked at how great the video quality is on this Eufy IndoorCam Mini. The price is amazing and the quality is awesome, even if you use the cloud storage which limits resolution to 1080p. If you use a NAS or SD card you can get the full 2k res. I found the "AI" detection of people worked really well, although it has identified our dog as a person a few times :). The only negative on the video quality is that it does not have as wide of an FOV as some other security cameras I have used. This is somewhat mitigated by the ability to pan and tilt the camera remotely from the app. The Eufy does have a feature where it tries to track moving objects to keep them in frame. I found this does work pretty well "most" of the time, but when it doesn't work, the camera tends to get stuck at an extreme angle and sit there until there's been no motion for a minute. I ended up turning that feature off. Overall I found the camera to be really easy to configure and use, and I was really impressed with the quality. I'd absolutely keep this one in mind for any future purchases.

    eufy Has a Privacy Problem

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

BE WARNED! eufy claims your feed is encrypted, and your video/photos are locally stored on the device, only. But many users have confirmed that eufy products have uploaded customer photos to their servers, and the feed encryption can be bypassed with minimal tinkering. Do not buy this camera if you value your privacy. If you don't value your privacy, this is a solid camera with great quality and an easy WebUI for remote viewing. The cable it comes with is a little too short for some applications, but considering this is meant for indoor use, you shouldn't have a problem finding a spot for it. I haven't had a problem with the wifi since it was first set up, but I won't have it up anymore considering the first part of this review.

After trying multiple camera companies this has to be the best without a doubt! The camera has a full 360 degree swivel, up and down tilt, a privacy screen and a 2 way mic so that I can hear/talk to my dogs! No monthly fees for services is also a no brainier! Records up to a 100 captures before auto delete and you can save any of them! Camera is crystal clear and can be accessed from anywhere from the app no matter where you're at or what part of the world you're in. We took a trip to South Africa and we were able to check on on the house and dog sitter anytime. We have 4 cameras since this purchase now from eufy with a doorbell, garage, back yard and breezeway. Couldn't be more satisfied with the company and the cameras!! You pay a little more for the products in the beginning but there are no fees for their amazing products ever! Don't hesitate to switch today

The eufy - IndoorCam Mini - White is a great addition for my homes’ security. It offers me live and recorded video of my homes’ common area, allowing me the benefit of seeing all who enter or leave. Setup is easy and done through the eufy security app. After naming the area of desired surveillance, the eufy app displays that area on my phone. The 2K resolution is crystal clear and the intercom function works great. My phone receives on screen notifications stating “Someone has been spotted.” A picture is also included with the notification. There are several commands available for me. I can record, take a screenshot, speak, take a 360 degree look, turn on the alarm, mute sound, tracking and event. On the screen, there is a circle with arrows east, west, north and south. Those arrows when tapped move the camera in those directions. I can also move the camera up or down. Two problems I have with the eufy - IndoorCam Mini - White are not being able to use 5G Wi-Fi and there is no inside rechargeable battery which causes the power cable to always be plugged in and exposed for tampering by an intruder. Other than those two problems the eufy - IndoorCam Mini - White is a great addition to my home security system.
