I would suggest getting the solar panel to avoid having to take them down to charge them and a different mount. The camera mount that comes with the cameras are cheap and do not allow you to install anywhere near a 90 degree angle so you have to plan accordingly on placement. Overall, these are great cameras and easy to setup with home base.

Here's the math- 2 cameras with a home base. No subscriptions. $300. With Ring, 2 cameras for $200. Basic subscription for both cameras $60 a year or $100 a year for premium subscription (currently, no telling if they raise the rates at a later date). If you don't subscribe, your Ring cams hold no history and are essentially garbage.

But the size of the drill bit they want me to use didn't make a whole lot of sense. Also, the screws that it came with were cheap and it started to strip. I had to get new ones from Home Depot and make it much better. The picture is clear and the speakers were loud. I would like to get another 1 for the garage... right now I have it set on the front door and in my backyard onto a tree.

Customer support is based in United States and very helpful! Many more features than any other camera at this price level or class. I haven’t had the need to use any additional storage than what’s provided locally with the cameras. You can pay extra for cloud storage and it’s not needed at all. Easily installed. The only slight issue is sound quality from afar within app, but then again I don’t want to hear what my neighbors are talking about. I haven’t had the opportunity to test sound up close. 4.9/5 stars.
