    The alarm system only activates when theres people less than 8 feet away. Expected more quality for the value

    Video is okay at best during the day, and unusable at night. I've emailed back-and-forth with Eufy, and they've just straight-up conceded to not being able to push 2k footage out of these cameras. Even though... that's what's advertised... so... I don't know how that's legal. The actual resolution is less than 2k, and the god-awful compression makes it look like 480p. It's just not usable as a security camera. If you want to watch your front door, it'll work, but if you actually want security cameras, don't even think about it.

      If possible, please try the following steps to see if the issue persists:
      1. The recording quality can be up to 2K resolution. Please make sure you choose 2K HD other than 1080P. Steps: side menu>my devices>video quality>recording quality. 
      2. Please choose “High” under “Streaming quality” other than “Auto”. 
      3. Make sure your home network is in good condition.

    Slows Your Internet, Short Battery Life

    I did not like it because the charge did not last long especially if you chose motion sensor recording. The internet also lagged considerably in your home network due to the 2k cameras. It was slowing down every other device that needed the bandwidth. The recording quality was nice as was the design but it the constant recharge and lagging internet was a deal breaker for me.

    The recording and audio quality is weak compared to the Arlo pro 4. Positive is that there is no subscription fee like the Arlo. Eufy needs to do better with the compression of the video and audio tho. Same 1 minute recording file with Arlo is about twice the size of a Eufy 2k recording. You should be able to choose a higher recording quality with less compression. Rating would be 4 or better if they fixed the recording issues.

    The battery would last for a year if your never looking at your cameras. I have placed in my back yard to watch the little ones play so im constantly looking at it. And the other on my dogs on the side of the house. Motion detection is great camera quality is okay i guess but it takes extreamly long to load the video or live feed when your alerted of motion detection and by the time the video pulls up or the live feed if someone was breaking into your home they would be in your home already and before you pull everything up and play it back. I have xfinity too speed internet in a three bedroom flat 1,020 sq ft. Home with minimal walls and this what I get. So im returning and looking for something that has a constant live view and that is viewed on a portable screen that I can walk room to room with without a cord. Anyone has any suggestions, ideas or company in mind PLEASE SHARE WITH ME!!! Thanks.

      To find out the root case, please let me know what the device does if you try the following:
      1. Please press and hold the SYNC button for 10 seconds to reset the camera and reconnect it again.
      2. Please move the camera closer to the HomeBase about one meter and make sure there are no obstacles around HomeBase.
      3. Please set HomeBase to Wi-Fi connection in the Side menu>My device>Homebase Name>Homebase Settings>Connection>Wifi Setup. eufy

    This seemed like the perfect solution to my need for a DIY alarm system. The trouble began when I tried to connect the home base unit to my router. It kept telling me - no matter how close or how far it was from the router - that it couldn't find the router. I even had my fiber internet company come over and check the router. It was fine, the home base was the problem It also wasn't doing its part to connect to my Apple HomeKit app. So I took it back and went a different way.

    Good clear picture! But the app sucks. Won’t load on my Google chrome book or Apple Mac. Video playback is difficult and time consuming to get to where you want to watch it. If I had it to do over, I wouldn’t have bought this.

    I spent a lot of money on this for only one camera to work. Tried calling customer support with Eufy, only to be on hold for an hour. The camera that worked was easy to connect.

    I'm so close to returning them. Camera starts recording when I'm half way on my driveway, and most of the time it doesn't capture an event. Also it sometimes tells me theres a human which there was. But when i go back to see it. There's nothing there. I might just relocate camera to see if it makes a difference. But if it doesn't, I'm returning

    Do NOT buy!!! Buyer BEWARE!!!

    Unfortunately, Eufy has a MAJOR security flaw in their camera system that has yet to be addressed by their company. They offer a “security” system with no fees because all of your important videos are saved locally on their Homebase2. Sounds great...BUT the problem is that ANYONE can hit the reset button on the camera for 10 seconds and you lose ALL your footage on the homebase!! They promote security, but the homebase inside your house is useless if the videos can be controlled by hitting the reset button on the actual camera outside. So in essence if someone knows what they are doing they can easily approach your property, hit the reset button on top of the device and 10 seconds later...you won’t even have access to the footage of them doing it. Buyer BEWARE!! Do not purchase until they address this reported issue!!!
