Nice elegant looking camera with a knock off crap detection software. I’ve adjusted this stupid sensor 1000 times and still randomly turning on to stuff far away. Don’t buy it, will be returned first opportunity I get!!!

Good floodlight camera. NO MONTHLY FEE

The highlight for me here is the no monthly fee. I have the other floodlight and I just hate paying a fee every month. With this unit you get 4GB internal storage. Which for me with the motion detection set on the highest setting is good for about 5 days with 99+ events every days. Has good picture quality but what amazed me was the audio. It picks up people talking on street very clear and with the 2-way audio I was able to chat with them. This didn't work so well when not on WiFi. The install was very easy. The same as any other light. Neutral,Hot and a ground wire. The setup and pairing to my phone went very smooth also. And accessing the video stream when out on the road is faster then than my ring, my arlo, my nest and my synology surveillance station. The LED lights are bright and dimmable. The one con I have with this is the software. When it records an event it starts the video about 3 seconds be for the movement was detected. Which is great. But when you look at the list of events all the clips look the same. I wish it would show the event clip at about the 5 second mark to make it easier to find what events that matter or not. All in all I am very happy with this floodlight camera and would recommend it to my friends and family.

I am really impressed with this product. Prior to seeing it, I had not really heard about Eufy as a brand. After doing some research I am impressed with their offerings they have in the DIY home security market. In comes the Eufy Floodlight Camera. The camera came well packaged with very simple, easy to understand steps for installation. I noticed when I picked it up out of the box that it appears to be of a very high quality! The outside is made of metal and it feels like it could take a beating. I have no doubt this product should stand up to the outdoor elements without any issues. The camera comes with a power cord for a standard three prong outlet to allow you to set up the camera prior to installing it. See attached picture. I installed the application on my android phone and plugged the camera into the wall outlet. I followed the steps and the camera was up and running in no time! Notice in the included picture that the flood lights have blue stickers over each of them. This is a necessary thing! Those lights are EXTREMELY bright. I am glad they thought about that because they can hurt your eyes! After the initial setup that night, I set out to install the camera the next morning. It may have taken me literally ten minutes to install the camera. I shut off the power via my breaker box, took down my old floodlight, and used the included hardware to place the camera under the eave. According to the directions, this unit can be mounted under an eave or on the side of a structure. Whoever constructed my house used a standard single gang electrical box instead of a round one. The light mounted to the electrical box without any issues. I really appreciate that Eufy included a small metal hook to allow you to hang the light during the install so you don't have to fool with wires while attempting to hold the device. Once it was installed, I turned the electricity back on and logged back into the app on my phone. I aimed the camera and the rest is history! The picture from the camera is pretty impressive and the customization of the lights and the camera are pretty in depth. The camera has an LED light the blinks when it is recording. This feature can also be shut off. You can also customize motion settings, such as sensitivity, motion zones, and more! The app also allows you to customize how bright the floodlights are based on the event they are being used. You can dim them for general accent lighting and have them at peak brightness for a motion trigger. One of the greatest selling points of this unit is that there is NO subscription required! The camera has on board storage that records the events. This eliminates the need for cloud storage, however, Eufy does offer cloud storage plans should you want that option. This unit appears to be reliable and give quick notification of motion alerts. Logging in remotely is quick and the live feed loads rapidly! The speaker on the camera is loud! The siren and voice communication comes through very clear. The mic is very sensitive as well. While reviewing recordings I could hear clear conversation from people that were pretty far away from the camera itself. You can also connect this camera to voice assistants such as Alexa or Google Assistant. I can pull a live view up on my fire devices and ask my voice assistant to turn on the lights! This camera is impressive and is priced competitively. If you buy this camera you will not be disappointed!

    Easy security camera to install

This is an excellent security camera and very easy to install. The instructions are very simple to configure the wireless connection to the camera inside your home. Once set up and app downloaded to your smart phone, one just needs to install the fixture outside. Ideally, your home will already have an exterior light, so it would a direct exchange of removing the existing light fixture and installing the new security floodlight camera. If there is not an existing light fixture, one might need to hire an electrician to properly install the electrical wiring. One should also check that the installation location and light fixture bracket can hold up the weight of the security floodlight camera. It weighs noticeably more than a simple outdoor house light. Recommend checking your outdoor wireless signal before buying this camera. If your home wireless system won’t reach where the light will be installed, then the security camera won’t have connectivity. Another note is that you may get a warning message of having low signal strength from the security camera, but it might not be accurate. A good way to test your home wireless network is to take your personal laptop to the location you will be installing the camera. If you have wireless signal and good connectivity to the internet, then the security camera should work. When installing my camera, received a low signal strength message, but when testing my laptop, had a really good signal strength and the camera works really well since it was installed. The app is very simple to use and one can remotely control turning on/ off the floodlights. The lights have a limited range that can be adjusted to cover specific areas of concern. The computer app only allows the user to download security camera video clips. One can slightly adjust the motion detection settings, as a too sensitive setting will detect strong wind gusts blowing leaves in front of the camera. My camera has caught short clips of birds flying in front of it. Overall it is a great item to purchase, with night vision and full color video clips.

Nice Floodlight Cam for the Money

I bought this floodlight cam to add to my ecosystem of Eufy security cams and door lock. Great floodlight cam with nice built-in features such as siren alarm and 2-way audio. The lights are pretty powerful too. Easy to set up and can be mounted on a side wall or under an eave/soffit. Came with everything needed to install. Overall works really well. The only thing I noticed is that the black coating on the camera is starting to peel since it is exposed to the elements, but otherwise really good camera and video quality.

I bought two of these and set them up the hardware at the same time. The S-shaped bracket is a big time saver, had I read the instructions about what it's for (hanging the new unit to make wire connection easier.) I also appreciated both hardware and attached AC plug, though based on others' positive responses I opted to hardwire and not fiddle with direct testing before installing into the wall. That's nice. The units have a solid feel to them. Unit setup via app was remarkably fast. Not a single technical hitch. The app's walkthrough is impeccable. The number of customization settings is also pretty great. I do wish it had a full web interface and not just a phone app interface, but it's not a big deal. I also wish it would send snapshots of motion detection to a designated email address, but it's also not a big deal. The unit does integrate with some smart systems; in tandem perhaps it is possible to send out notification emails. On its own, the camera does not. Motion detection required me to re-set two of the zones because they wouldn't get saved properly. Once saved and going back in and they stayed put, I stayed put. :) Picture and sound quality are great. Light brightness is very good as well, brighter than my previous LED lamps. I might update this review in the future, especially if I do purchase a smart hub, but for the Eufy device setup - and one can do multiple hardware installations simultaneously and not worry about device name conflicts - this device is pretty darn good. If not excellent outright. The nitpicks are too few and too minuscule to really take a star off of.

One month into purchasing and installing 2 of these cameras and so far my opinion is that it's a quality product. Having had outdoor temps in the high teens and so far it seems as though everything is functioning properly. Installation was simple EXCEPT for the fact that the camera head is shipped upside down. So you have to turn it 180 degrees when installing it. Just make sure you loosen the little ring that holds the mounting arm before you attempt to rotate the camera head. You will most likely need a pair of pliers to do so. I do have an issue with what I think is a serious design flaw. One of these cameras installed on a porch with approximately 8 ft of roof overhanging the camera. This creates a condition where it's dark where the camera is mounted and daylight beyond the edge of the roof (backlit). During daylight hours the current camera / app design does not allow the security lights to come on during daylight hours. There's no setting in the app to change this. So what you get is video of an outline without the ability to see details (picture attached). I contacted Eufy customer support to see if they could remedy this situation with an update to the app because that's all it would take. I'm sure I'm not the only person to experience this problem.

Extremely pleased with this purchase. Please be aware that you will need a hardwired location for this to be installed. It is NOT battery powered. That being said, install is very easy with easy to understand video instructions. Take the time to set up your detection zones, sensitivity, brightness, and audio settings — and you will have a worry-free product that far exceeds the competition. Video quality is crystal clear with no connection issues. No subscription! Eufy makes a great product.

Installation was easy (for a floodlight). The video quality is great. The picture looks great day and night. I get instant notifications. There is no AI notifications like other Eufy Cameras (pet, person detection) and I wish it had a space for an SD card the included storage is sufficient but it would be nice to have a continuous recording.

We did a lot of research, and visited friends who have different flood light cameras, before settling on the Eufy system. In short: this thing is awesome. The flood lights are crazy bright but fully dimmable via the app (and, the app is extremely comprehensive while also being easy to use), the image quality from the camera is great (better visibility at night than competing cameras we looked at), and it was incredibly easy to setup. There is no way we can run an Ethernet cable to the camera's location, so it was essential whatever we purchased provides clear, steady visibility and recording via WiFi. The Eufy is great in this regard, and we've never wished for more local storage space than what comes with the unit. We like it so much we just purchased a second flood light cam for the back of our garage.

I have had this camera up for about 3 weeks. It works almost all the time. The camera has gone offline about 12-4 in the morning, twice that I'm aware of. I have contacted Eufy about that and they will replace it. I have dealt with Eufy before and they are very good about taking care of problems. Apart from that, the picture is good and the notifications are good. I like not having to pay for an additional service. Since I had an existing outdoor light fixture, installation wasn't too complicated. Overall, I would recommend the product and would recommend other Eufy cameras. The picture quality is good and the speaker is sufficient to have a conversation with someone standing within about 15 feet of the camera. I also enjoy being able to turn on the floodlight with the Eufy app on the iPhone.

The camera recording and playback is easy to use with the Eufy app on my phone. You can set up zones to detect for camera video recording. But you cannot set of zones for turning the light on. I wish they had combined the 2 sensors so you would not set the light on when wind blows the tree leaves. There is a quality control problem with the IR sensor to turn on the light in my floodlight. I purchase a White one and it was working OK. But this Black model can only sense you from the center to 90 degrees to the left. The IR is not working properly or is not centered. I am keeping it because I actually like it to turn on at 90 degrees when someone comes thru the side gate.

Lights are very bright and is so convenient to activate them from your application on your phone when away. You can talk to visitors or delivery personnel via the microphone and alert intruders plus activate the loud siren. Very sensitive and keeping you alerted of activity. Night vision is very bright and you see a 15'-20' area in front of the camera very well.

This is a good security floodlight camera. The lights are very bright and it detects motion nicely if it is close by. The wifi works great. It's range is probably 25 feet which is what it is advertised to do. The recording settings are a but confusing. I am working on trying to get those settings the way I like them. We will probably get some more Eufy products. This was relatively simple to set up and install. It is Hard Wired. We are about 95% satisfied with the overall installation and performance.

Overall, this is a great floodlight and camera. Here are the things I wish Eufy would do: 1. Allow multiple streams to play at the same time on the web interface. Right now, you can only watch one camera at a time (this only applies if you have other Eufy cameras as well). 2. Clean up the event review part of the app. I often have troubles pausing the video, "rewinding" video, and watching the videos on landscape with my phone (it keeps toggling back and forth between landscape and portrait... and I checked other apps to make sure it wasn't a problem with my phone). 3. Expandable storage would be nice. Hopefully they expand to be usable on the hubs. 4. Make the lights replaceable. It appears right now, if one of the lights goes out, there's nothing you can do but replace the whole unit (hopefully that's not a problem for several years). Those aren't deal breakers, but I wish they were addressed/improved. Some of the Pros: 1. There's no subscription costs. 2. The 3 second pre-buffer is a huge plus for capturing events. 3. Looks nice! 4. Lights are excellent, great brightness, and great level of control. 5. Affordable.
