    This is an amazing smart wifi door lock. It’s so great I bought 3 for my beach house. I’ve had august smart locks which have been awesome but this eufy is a game changer. It’s easy, simple, and smart especially the finger scanner. If you are considering this product, look no further…. Just buy it!

    Have to charge battery every couple weeks

    Seems like it would be a nice lock. My problem is once a week I have to charge the battery that is supposed to last a year. I’ve tried to find another battery to no avail. I have emailed back and forth with support and not accomplished anything. So wanted to like this. Thought my August went through batteries.

    Easy to install, features worked fine. But the app refused to unlock the door remotely and without the app you can't add even add other profiles for finger prints and key codes. Uninstalled rebooted, would work for a little but then reverted back to an nonworking condition. Shame,really loved it at first.

    I love Smart devices and this one is top of the line. I love that you can use your finger print, code, or manually open with a key. The app is great and allows me to control who has access and get notifications anytime there is activity on the lock.

    The Eufy Smart Lock Touch & Wi-Fi deadbolt is a terrific addition to our home security. The Eufy is packaged very nicely. I particularly appreciated that each step of the installation had a correspondingly numbered box with the equipment for that step. Installation was quick and easy, even for someone like myself is not particularly handy around the house. Note, prior to installation, make sure you fully charge the battery. The instructions say the battery was at 30% and should take 6 hours to fully charge, but it was done within 2 hours on my rapid charger. It charges via standard USB-A cable. I had hoped it would be USB-C, but it includes a cable in the box. As is typical these days, the charging cable does not include a wall plug. Tools I used for the installation are two sizes of phillips head screwdrivers, a tape measure to ensure proper sizing, and a bubble level to make sure I had it placed properly on the door. Installation took less than 10 minutes, and I could do it again now if about 3 minutes, if I needed to. It's very easy. Once installed, I updated the software, set up my access code and fingerprint, and then added my wife and our youngest daughter. Each person can have their own fingerprint and access code if you add them in the app. One benefit is the app can show you when the door was opened and by whom. Of course, you can also set guest codes or temporary codes. Access codes can also be limited to a set schedule that you determine. Physically, the lock is very safe and manufactured to high security standards. It is also weatherproof. The battery (which is mounted inside, of course) should last over a year. That's pretty impressive. In addition to code unlock, fingerprint unlock, and app unlock, the lock can by unlocked by a physical key. A generous allotment of five keys is included with the Eufy system. I had hoped I'd be able to key the lock to match our existing keys, but that is not possible. The key is a rather unusual shape and would not work in standard tumbler locks, nor would a standard key be able to work in the Eufy lock. Another benefit that my wife loved is that you can set it to lock automatically once the door is closed. The app has a timer function that allows you to set how long before the door locks on its own. You don't have to enable the auto lock feature, but it comes in handy for us. You can set it to lock as quickly as 1 second or as long as 3 minutes after the door is closed. You can also set an auto schedule to make sure the door locks at a certain time every day. In my experience with the lock, the fingerprint reader is very quick and allows you extremely easy access to your home. I don't like fingerprint readers on most phones, but the Eufy fingerprint ready is top notch. Very quick and very accurate. I'm impressed. Note, when using the keypad, you have to touch it once to wake it up. I didn't realize that the first time I tried to use the code to unlock, so it didn't register the first digit of the code. Since it has Wi-Fi and works with smart home devices, I am able to control it with our Google Home devices, my phone, and my smartwatch. I love the simplicity and ease of use. Our daughter loves it because we generally keep the doors locked. She appreciates that she can easily reenter the home after walking the dog and doesn't have to come in through the garage. Of course, another benefit of a smart lock is that you can check your door when you're away. I had hoped to like the Eufy lock. I don't just like it; I love it! Well done, Eufy.

    Its good but finding out from Eufy support that metal door knobs or handles affect the device isnt good. If the device is near a metal knob or handle then the automatoc door lock set to 1 second wont lock automatically

    We just built a new garage and needed a way to secure it. Do you feel smart lock was the only solution that we had because we have several UV cameras it is amazingly easy to set up and even easier to use.

    I cannot recommend this product in good faith because of its subpar quality. WiFi signal drops, bluetooth works sometimes, and its non-functioning features and overall poor quality shows the manufacturer's true colors.

    Bought 2 and the 1st one battery was defective and the deadbolt kept getting stuck and the second one had the same issues as the first one without the defective battery

    after 3-4 months use. manual lock gets stuck halfway when turning. also autmatic lock says unable to lock but its locked. will talk to bestbuy customer service to see if it can be exchanged to a non defective one.

    Received a defective one from Best Buy, contacted Eufy for customer support who sent me a new one the next day which worked perfectly. Blown away by their customer service and this lock. It works flawlessly.

    The lock came with a cross threaded screw hole. Customer service was no help and had to tap out the hole and buy new screws. The lock itself is great and works as expected

    Was a fail for me. Key would always get stuck. Battery didn’t stay charged and it wouldn’t connect to wifi wouldn’t connect.

    Overall this is a great smart lock, for someone who isn't handy they made installation in my door very easy, helped that I had a deadbolt separate in my garage from door knob so it was a straight swap. They even have video's online which was a nice touch for a noob like me which helped raise my comfort level in doing the install. It took me maybe 60 minutes or so, but that is because I kept rewatching the video and doubting myself then the difficulty. Overall this is an awesome lock once installed because it comes with keys (5), fingerprint (which is great for the kids, and works very fast once setup), PIN which is handy for guests as you can change it or an APP via BT or Wi-Fi. The fingerprint reader was more what I wanted for the kids, once we got them the stand still and register them in the device it works a treat and very quickly. Being able to have pins for guests is nice since you can have multiple and deactivate them at anytime is handy when Grandma visits she can get and in and out without needing a key or worrying about getting locked out. Also you can register the device to auto lock with is great again with kids when they go out, it will just lock the door and I appreciate it via the app which is great. Its a heavy and solid lock, the main downside is it is battery powered. Eufy does state the battery should last a year between charges and the app itself will warn you and if you have the key it is a good backup. My only worry would be how long the company will support a lock. Normally you buy a lock on your door and don't change it unless you have a good reason, they just tend to work. With all the fancy software involved, there are always bugs so I worry after a few years there won't be any updates and I'll either have to remove the battery and use it as a dumb lock (I do have 5 keys so that is more then enough) or get purchase a new one. Hopefully they continue to support and bug fix over a longer course so the device remains secure and usable and I won't have to replace and they will continue to have spare batteries to replace after a few years. Beyond the concern of increasing my e-waste footprint this is a great lock and does meet my family needs and removes the worry my kids will lose the keys to the house and know they can always get in which is great. Overall I would recommend this lock if you are looking for one as it is very handy.
