A: Not a lock out for the whole system; however, ALL but the main "person" can be scheduled to not work at certain times. So currently one person's info will always work but you have the ability to shut off ALL others' code/fingerprint,

Q: Can I unlock the door from the app away from home? Or do I have to be within range?

A: It is a smart wifi lock you set up to your home wifi. Therefore it works well where you can unlock the door away from home. Comes in very handy if you are on vacation or at work and you need to open the door for someone who needs to stop by and then re-lock the door after they leave.

Q: Does the bolt come out on the right side or the left? My door opens to the left, so I need it to come out on the right side of the outside piece.

A: The design allows for both right hand and left hand doors. The bolt is notated with an "up" stamp and the mechanism has a locking knob that has emblems on both sides of the interior panel so that you can twist it either clockwise or counter-clockwise to work the bolt.

A: Yes -- it will verbally tell you that the door isn't closed. And, if you set the timer to one second, as I have, once you actually close the door your phone will also show the activity as well as you can hear the deadbolt engage.

A: Yes, of course. The door would have to be modified to accept a deadbolt in addition to the existing doorknob.

Q: Can the lock be opened from the inside (by just turning the knob)? I have glass sidelights which would make this lock useless if it can be opened by a simple turn.

A: Yes, you can lock or unlock this manually by turning the knob. It works just like a deadbolt knob.

Q: Would a locksmith be able to rekey this lock?

A: I repined my pair of locks to use the same key and while I had it open I confirmed the outer cylinder dimensions look to match Kwikset, Wiser and Weslock so they should be able to swap the cylinder for one of those. Any locksmith who is not scared away can just remove the 6 screws under the stuck on rubber backing then just swap out the cylinder and reuse the tail pice. You’re not likely to find many locksmiths in the US who can source the sidebar pins used in this lock so they will not be able to repin the existing cylinder to make multiple locks use one of the keys us came with. This lock type is only common in Asia. Just have them swap the cylinder instead if trying to repin.

Smart Lock
This is a average guys review of the Eufy WIFI-Bluetooth smart lock. After purchasing top brands like Schlage, Kwikset, Google, and even a few off brands, and returning all of them, even throwing some in the garbage, I can confidentially say this unit does exactly what it says it will do!! My 5 star review is based on this unit doing exactly what is states it can and will do. It falls short on a few minor items, but, those few points Eufy doesn’t state they will do. Thus, my review is based on it does 100% of what they state it will do. -Easy installation, easy setup on the app -It has auto locked 100% of the time without fail -It has unlocked both by fingerprint scan and code entry 100% of the time -Battery life is good, rechargeable battery is a plus -App is easy to use, integrated with Alexa easily -Stylish modern look -Notifications of door unlocking and locking 100% of the time This is our 3rd unit, installed first unit about 3 months ago, and decided to buy 2 more for back door and side door. Haven’t had to charge the battery on the first unit yet. What I would have been nice to have on this unit, would be a sensor that shows the door isn’t closed. But, it didn’t state that it did, so to me that is not part of my rating on this unit. In short, it’s a winner!!

Great smart lock, that fits and performs well.
I like the flexibility of using a code, my thumb (or other finger), the app, a physical key and our Amazon Echo to lock and unlock the door. The ability to assign multiple codes means I can give a code to the neighbor when we are away. And the ability to schedule access means I can limit access of our guest, or family member codes. It integrates well with my other Eufy products like my doorbell and cameras. I like the push button locking when we exit. I can go on a walk, locking the door, without having to carry my keys. The battery means if the power goes out, we can still open it. Having the option to use a microusb power bank if we are out and the eufy's battery dies is also a plus. The Wifi and app connectivity make it easy to check if we locked the door, and even have our Amazon Echo lock and unlock the door. My negatives are... the battery needs to be charged about every six months or so, and it does take time to do so. I suggest taking the battery it off the door lock before you go to bed, and leave it plugged in overnight. The physical keys are unique, and can not be duplicated. You get 5 keys, so don't lose them. Our door was painted AFTER the Schlage deadbolt was put on, and the Eufy didn't completely cover the unpainted area. While the black looks great on its own, the fact that we replaced the lock from our existing Schlage handle/deadbolt kit, it looks a little odd with the handle being satin nickel and the eufy lock/keypad being black.

Interface needs redesigned. Lock is good otherwise
Don’t do it. Eufy might have an excellent product line, but this smart deadbolt is a pain in the rear if you wanna get inside your house quickly- or at least faster than old school way of using a key. That’s the biggest complaint I have about it aside from cost. App is great. Battery life is great. Looks are great. Adding/removing authorized people is easy. Installation was normal when compared to installing other smart dead bolts on the market. However… the interface on the deadbolt itself is horrible. You have to press either the keypad or fingerprint scanner multiple times for it to “wake up.” Fingerprint scanner is tiny which usually forces me to press my finger on it several times in order to unlock my door-my hands are average sized. Not only that, it’s flat. The ergonomics on these fingerprint scanners on most deadbolts never actually take into account how people stand, how close lock is to threshold, and how low lock is compared to human body. The scanner should be more at an angle rather than flat, and much larger in general. I doubt the scanner face is larger than a dime. Aside from how long it takes to “wake up” the keypad or scanner, this product is good. I will say that since these types of locks have been around for quite some time now, the average price should honestly be no more than $120-I got lucky and bought during a sale, I suggest you do the same and not pay full retail.
