AVOID DUE TO BATTERY

Looks nice, but 4 locks later it still fails!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.could give this 5 stars as it is a great lock but due to it taking itself offline and you have to start from scratch its not worth the time or money. support has sent me 4 different locks.. all have the same issue.. Engineers say its the wifi signal.. in the past year 2 different ISP's 3 different routers and same old story. So NO it's not the WiFi. All my other eufy products work off the same WiFi network and guess what they work flawlessly! Sorry to say move onto another brand for a smart lock as this one is not ready for prime time quite yet!

Remote Access

Great smart lock, easy setup

I’ve never had a smart lock, so I don’t have anything to compare it to but standing alone I think it’s great. I’m a 27 year old woman and I would like to think that I’m pretty handy, and able to do minor things around my home. When they said that it would be an easy install and only takes 15 minutes? This is very true all you need to know how to do is use a screw driver, and measuring tape. It took me maybe 20-25 minutes due to the horrible installation of my door and previous lock. I think almost anyone can do it, so the fact that you don’t need to spend extra money on hiring someone to come out is great. It has everything that you need numbered, included and very organized. The QR code did not work for me so, I had to pull up the video instructions on my own which Eufy has on their YouTube channel and it was clear with pictures. Once the lock was installed even without the QR code working it went as smoothly as you can possibly imagine. The app is not glitchy at all, it was an overall seamless process. As a dog owner this smart lock is everything I didn’t know I needed. Not having to lug around my keychain as I’m walking my dog is such a relief. You can set the lock to automatically lock behind you anywhere from 5 secs after it senses you’ve closed the door on up. The fingerprint scanner is just such an amazing feature and probably my favorite. I’ve never had a problem with it reading my fingerprint. You can also use a passcode, and of course it comes with keys for the lock as well. These are not standard keys you will find anywhere else, so that may be off putting for some but I don’t see the need for me to really need it unless you let the batteries die and are unable to use the other features. I also have been able to control it with Google home. This has made life so much easier, and honestly it’s a fun product. Unlocking your door with just a scan of your finger? Easy setup? Leave your keys at home? Great tip? It doesn’t get any better for me. Thanks Eufy

Fast to unlock.

Near Perfect

It is well built, easy to install, and offers reliable operation. I have been using the new Eufy Smart Lock for about three weeks now and it has been a great experience. Out of the box Eufy provides everything needed to quickly get the lock installed. Took me about 30 minutes to get mine installed as the hole for the deadbolt in the door frame was poorly lined up to the door itself. Of note, make sure to immediately start charging the included battery out of the box as it take about six hours to get it fully charged. Once in place it feels premium and impenetrable. Exactly what you want in a door lock... confidence. The smart lock offers both fingerprint sensor, as well as, pin code operation. With the addition of Wi-Fi the smart lock can now be operated when away from the home. While traveling recently I needed to let someone in the house and without needing to provide them guest access I simply unlocked the front door from 800 miles away. Worked like a charm. The fingerprint sensor offers fast recognition and has picked up my finger first try each time. Battery life seems to be great and still shows a full charge after three weeks. A good sign for the overall stamina of the battery. I gave it five stars despite one big caveat in my house.... no HomeKit support. I am keeping my fingers crossed that Eufy will bring HomeKit support to the lock in the future and it does offer Google and Alexa support immediately. Overall, the Eufy Smart Lock Touch & Wi-Fi is competively priced, trouble-free, and built like a tank. It fills in the big missing piece from the original Smart Lock Touch by adding Wi-Fi to make it fully featured. For my house it is a great automation addition and should definitely be on your short list of smart locks.

Not reliable

Stay Far Away

To begin with, the app did not recognize the lock's serial number, which brought the installation to a full stop. The manufacturer's helpline offered no solution. I returned the product to BestBuy.

1) The smart lock will auto-lock itself after 3 minutes even the door is not stay in the door frame, this is to reduce the power consumption.
2) If the user is afraid that the automatic lock will cause injury, it is recommended to turn off the automatic lock via the eufy Security app.

Bluetooth no longer works

The bluetooth connection stopped working after a year and a half. The product is past its warranty so we could not get a replacement. Never buying from this company again
