    Garbage. Connects and then disconnects. Battery also only lasts two weeks inbetween needing to be charged. Complete waste of money.

    Auto lock not working good.. so I always have to manually lock

      1) The smart lock will auto-lock itself after 3 minutes even the door is not stay in the door frame, this is to reduce the power consumption.

      2) If the user is afraid that the automatic lock will cause injury, it is recommended to turn off the automatic lock via the eufy Security app.

    couldn't install it because the 2 main bolts were cheap and couldn't screw them in. Waste of time.

    I received and installed my Eufy Smart Lock and am really liking it a lot. I installed it on my back Garage door which is the main entrance we use to enter the house. First off installation was very simple, just remove the existing deadbolt and the Eufy was just a perfect plug and play fit. Anyone who can use a screwdriver can install this lock. Once installed, I waited to charge the battery which took about 3 hours. Once charged, the battery was installed, I paired it with the Eufy app I currently have and went through the steps which again was very simple. After assigning my fingerprint, setting the code for me and my family, I tried it out. It has been flawless, works perfect every time. You can lock or unlock the lock with a fingerprint, passcode, the app or if the battery dies, there are keys included that will also unlock the device. The lock appears to be well made and hopefully can handle the rigors of everyday use, the keys are also robust as well and work great in the lock. The battery is rated to last a year and hopefully that is the case. I forgot to mention Eufy included a USB charging cable which is a nice touch. I have no complaints and highly recommend this lock for anyone who is looking to add another smart device to there residence.

      If possible, please try the following steps to see if the issue persists:
      Could you please enable HotSpot on your phone and make the Wifi smart lock connect to your hotspot to see if it works?
      If yes, the issue should be related to your wifi settings. Please try the following steps to see if the issue will be resolved quickly.
      - Confirm if your wifi is encrypted by WPA-PSK or WPA2-PSK
      - Reset the router
      - Stand nearby the doorbell and see if your phone is able to connect to the wifi properly
      - If possible, move the router closer to the smart lock and let us know the distance between the lock and router

      If you can’t find your Wi-Fi network in the Wi-Fi listing. This article will help you find the steps and you’ll need to fix the problem.
      - Make sure your router works properly and its network name is not hidden. If hidden, click "Others" and enter the Wi-Fi information manually.
      - Make sure the device is not too far too out of your router's coverage.
      - Make sure if your Wi-Fi was encrypted via WEP encryption. If so, change the encryption in your router. The device doesn’t support WEP encryption.
      Rescan the network.
      - Hold the "Set" button for 5s to reset the device and redo the setup process.

    Full featured Smart Lock

    This smart lock is very robust, it's easy to install has lots of alerts and settings that you can manipulate and integrates very easy with both : the eufy application and the google assistant. It even integrates with any other smart camera that you might have. It's a perfect fit for my requirements. the battery lasts a lot, and if you run out of power you can power it using a battery bank via a micro-usb port in the outside part of the lock or with a physical key, so you'll never get locked outside.

      Please know that the auto-lock feature only works after you close your door or the door remains at the door frame. Make sure your door is closed by the time you enable the auto-lock option of your smart lock.
      1. Close the door to calibrate, check the front lock key cover is covered to ensure successful calibration.
      2. Turn on the auto-lock function. If it has been enabled, please disable it and enable it again. Please select a locking timer at any time you want and then select the desired time. For example, I set the lock to auto-lock at 1s, I first set it to 1min and then set it back to 1s.
      3. The above settings are complete, please open the door and then close to see if the locking time is in accordance with the scheduled settings.
      4. If not, please manually lock the door, and then open the door and close it to see if it is locked according to the scheduled setting time.

    I thought I would be intimidated with the install of this lock. Wow was I wrong! When opening the box, it was nicely laid out in steps. All hardware was labeled for the step of install in its own box so nothing could get confused. I removed the deadbolt I had and measured everything to verify dimensions of what is in the manual. The installation was quite easy, I did have to replace the striker plate I currently had with the one they supplied but again it was so easy to handle. Once installed, I charged the battery and added the app to my phone. Setting up the app again was again SO EASY. I love that I can look at the app and know the status of the front door, locked or unlocked with just a glance. I also like that I can add my family’s pin code or fingerprint separately. I can see in my phone notifications who unlocked the door as well as that it was relocked usually manually. Neither family member want their own app. I did add the skill to Alexa however I cannot lock or unlock using Alexa, that functionality does not work at all. Given the app eufy has, I feel that Alexa not working is ok, since the Eufy app handles everything well. If the lock does not engage successfully, the notifications and app will make you aware. You will then have an opportunity to unlock/lock again. This has happened once, and I was able to reengage the lock without issue. The keys provided are very unconventionally shaped. They would be hard to replace, but also the lock would be hard to pick by criminals as well. I’m very pleased with this lock system and would very much recommend it to anyone.

    Buy the lock! You will love it!

    This lock works great for our family. It was easy to install in the same place that the deadbolt was. It's great not having to search for keys when going to the door. We have it set to automatically lock when the door is closed. It's great giving access to family members and not having to go through the trouble of getting keys made. This is one of the best purchases we've ever made. You won't be disappointed with this smart lock.

    There's really not anything to not like about this. The installation instructions were laid out nicely with the parts even separated into numbered packaging in the order of the install steps. So the install was pretty simple and straight forward. Same with the setup - download the app, connect to wifi and the app walks you through the setup and you're done. It also integrates nicely with Google Assistant so you can be really lazy and say "Hey Google, lock the front door"... The deadbolt functions nice and smoothly and the look is simple and somewhat elegant I guess with the outside box being touchscreen, rather than physical buttons. There is a fingerprint scanner, which actually works well. I have sweaty hands and phone fingerprint scanners rarely work for me, but I haven't really had any issue with this yet. You also have the option to do a passcode and there is a feature I really like that allows you to "scramble" your passcode by entering extra digits along with the actual passcode in the case of prying eyes nearby. I've been happy with this lock so far and certainly would recommend it to others.

    Great Electronic Door Lock with Biometrics

    This installed easily and work reasonably well. However, the speaker (even when set to its maximum level) is difficult to hear. And, the deadbolt does jam sometimes due to the pressure placed on the door by weather stripping. Overall, this works well and we do appreciate no longer needing keys to enter.

    This was a very worth while buy! It was easy and straight forward to install, programming my fingerprint was a breeze and its auto lock feature makes every day a breeze. I was able to program it to automatically lock every time the door shut which makes leaving for work in the morning so easy and doesn't leave me worried at night if I forgot to lock the door. The app is also super easy to use and lets me unlock the door for guest without even getting up.

    Just installed, and it seems awesome. I read an online review that said it was difficult (or finnicky) to install. I found it very straight forward, and had no issues at all following the instructions. Probably took me 10 minutes. Maybe 15.

    Great, reliable smart lock

    I bought 2 smart locks (one for front door and one for back door) and they are very reliable and functional. I have a cheap, Amazon basics smart lock that worked for a couple months then it bit the dust, but these have been going strong without any signs of ware and tear. One thing that was a very minor learning curve was that you can't just put your finger on the sensor and it'll unlock. You must push a number key and then the fingerprint sensor. Once you get in the habit of that, you'll be good to go. Highly recommend!
