    Works well. Great quality picture thanks to the 2k camera. Really like that I don’t have to pay a subscription to record footage and can just delete unnecessary recordings. Happy with this this purchase.

    Great functional product that replaced a poor quality Ring Pro. The only improvement would be the ability to connect to the existing door bell instead of through plug in chime.

    It worked ok but, the front plastic plate it is loose now. I was hoping a more better constructed unit. This lock I just had it for only one year 2 month and parts are getting bad it is not good. Maybe it is only me with this problem but, the locking mechanism has been working as it should.

    so much better than the "other brand" the only down side is it is not as wide viewing as the "other one" i love the clarity and also it does well with alerting me

    This is my first "smart" doorbell, however I have other security cameras also from Eufy. This doorbell is great over all. Installation is easy and I prefer to use the existing wiring so I don't have to worry about having to re-charge batteries every so often. 2K image quality is great with a nice wide field of view (with some Fish Eye effect which I don't mind). HDR is good when the sun is bright and behind the person at the door. 32GB of onboard storage is the only place videos are stored right now. Even if you have the Homebase from Eufy that works with other Eufy products, it doesn't currently work with this. However, this might be addressed in an update which would be very nice. App is subscription free which is also very nice compared to other doorbells out there. It includes a large array of configuration options for video quality, scheduling, motion, etc... Seems to have everything I think I would need. If they make this work with Homebase, this would be a perfect doorbell for me. Great product with great features that does not require any monthly subscription fee - very refreshing for this product segment.

    cannot complain. been using it for a month now. the sound is clear. it pings everytime there is someone at the door. the app is easy to use with iphone.

    This is the biggest piece of garbage! It did install fairly easy, and the range and night vision is decent. But thats It goes about all the nice I can say. It goes off at shrubs, rain, wind.. but half the time doesn't alert to actual humans.. It went off every few minutes last weekend.. all night long! 5am, 5:03am, 5:05am! ugg! It alerts me at 5pm to let me know that my kid came in at 11am! It needs restarted daily to work at 80% accuracy, at best!! And since the update i now can't even find where to restart it! So now, it truly is just garbage, because if I can't even restart it, it doesn't work!

      Sometimes in windy days, the doorbell camera will also be falsely triggered even though there is no object showing. The reason is that the moving air (wind to some extent) may result in a slight change of temperature, so the doorbell camera was falsely triggered for recording by potential rising 'heat' (the same comes with insects, etc). The false triggering of such kind exists in our current system indeed. Our engineers do know this issue and are currently trying hard on the following firmware upgrades to lower the incidents.

      If possible, please try the following steps to see if the issue persists:
      - Set up an activity zone to limit the area that you want the movement to be picked up. Go to the doorbell settings in the Eufy Security APP- Motion Detection- Activity Zone.
      - Please also set it to human only and the sensitivity level to the lowest in the Motion Detection to reduce the motion detection.

    This is a great basic video doorbell for someone who doesn’t want to have to pay a subscription to record and download their videos. Out of the box, install was very simple. My current doorbell had a transformer that supplied the right amount of power. If you don’t have that, there are lots of ways to fix this issue, but it’s a bit more complicated. If you’re not used to doing electrical work you’ll want to call a technician. For me it was as simple as pulling the cover off the door chime and looking at the markings on the black cube which told me the power running to my doorbell. The one step that wasn’t in the instructions that I needed to do to install was trim the wires coming out of my doorframe. There really isn’t much space behind the doorbell to store extra wire, so if yours is too long it will keep it from being able to lock into the bracket and your wires might need to be trimmed. All in all, setup took around half an hour. The app and tech side setup was fast with no problems. Actually using it works pretty well, but there are a couple issues I found. First, when I try to talk through the doorbell it comes in super quite, sometimes too quite for the person to hear. You have this option where you can record something and get the doorbell to automatically respond by pushing a quick response button. The volume for that works just fine, so its something in the programing. Second, periodically it disconnects from the backend and the app just freezes. I’ve never had it happen for longer than around 30 seconds, but it happens frequently enough I’m worried that I won’t be able to respond before the person leaves. I’m honestly not sure if it’s a tech issue in the servers running the app, or if it’s a wifi issue and the antenna in the doorbell just isn’t super strong so it drops occasionally and a stronger signal would help. Other than these two issues everything else works fine. You can set it with varying degrees of sensitivity to automatically record when it senses motion, or you can turn it on to just continually record. The funny thing is that the 24/7 recording is an option on the app and it seems to work fine, but the website says it can’t do this. This must be an update to the app and controller for the doorbell that hasn’t been updated online yet. Or maybe it doesn’t work great yet and I didn’t use it long enough to know, so they don’t want to advertise it. Backing up videos is only a push of a button on your phone to download any clip you want, which is nice. You can also restrict the area it monitors to sense motion. This would be a great feature from some homes, but for me I have a fairly limited view from where the doorbell is anyway, so it wasn’t necessary for me. They have a way to log in on a desktop, but the browser-based system is really pretty pathetic. It doesn’t even allow you to download a clip onto a laptop or desktop from the webpage. I’m hoping they build this out more as this would allow for some more flexibility in monitoring. I also noticed it said something about cloud storage online so while I haven’t paid for it, it appears you can have the system automatically back up to the cloud for you to increase your security. While this adds some great high tech functionality to your doorbell, I would not consider this if your first concern is security for your home. If someone really wanted to do some damage or steal something of value without you having proof, it would really only take a hit from a hammer to break the camera and knock it off the bracket. From there the thief could take the doorbell with your package or as they break in and take with it the recording and all evidenced of who it was that broke in. The cloud backup could fix the security issue, but I’ve got other security solutions at home so I don’t need to pay for that to test it. If I had a wish list for developers working on this product I would ask that they add smartthings integration and that they create an app or api where I can have it automatically backed up to a home server or my one personal cloud setup. Overall a great simple easy to use option that does not require a subscription to access all the features.

    Great quality. Would recommend over a ring any day. No monthly subscription makes it worth paying more to begin with plus camera is higher resolution than ring

    Horrible product and less than desirable customer service. It's constantly sending false motion alerts, even after I've set up an activity zone and lowered the sensitivity. It had popr night quality video, and I have to charge it constantly. The $49 off brand video doorbell I had previously provided much better quality videos and recording. I purchased this one because it was advertised as one that self charges. I'm appalled at the lack of effective customer service.
