    I cannot say enough about how much I love this doorbell! It has every feature I want in a doorbell and does everything acceptably well at minimum. Critics of Eufy Security's doorbells always point to the 2K video resolution as a negative, but honestly, in my opinion it doesn't matter one bit. I mean really, we're not looking for a high quality James Cameron feature film here. We're looking to capture videos with enough detail and clarity for practical purposes and this more that accomplishes that. I've installed MANY video doorbells over the past several years, from Ring to Nest and honestly, having experience with those offerings has NEVER made me feel like the Eufy Security doorbells were lacking. One of the main selling points of Eufy Security doorbells is their local video only / no cloud subscription model. This is a must for me. The video my device records is nobody else's business but my own and if it never hits the cloud it can never be appropriated through a breach. This doorbell is no different. It comes with 32GB eMMC storage right inside the device which is readily accessible via the companion mobile device application. Access is instant for either live view or playback of recorded material and the stream quality can even be adjusted should you be on a less performant network connection. Buffering or inability to stream at all should be a complete non-issue. Speaking of that 32GB eMMC, it is used in the most WONDERFUL way and that is why I say that this is doorbell I've been waiting for. 5 day continuous recording!! That's right, not only do you get recordings when the doorbell is pressed or motion is detected, but you get an entire 5 day lookback of every minute. This is important to me because all of the other doorbells I've used usually start recorded clips a bit after I would prefer. Ring has recently added a 4 second prerecord function to their Video Doorbell 3 Plus which is.......better than nothing....I guess? I by far prefer the flexibility this Eufy Security doorbell gives me. When you go to play back an alert in your app it will start from it's detection point. If you want to start the playback from earlier than the detection point it's as simple as sliding the timeline back a bit. This is fantastic feature that is sure to make this doorbell a best seller. I do have a few minuscule gripes, but they're fairly insignificant and none should be a dealbreaker for anyone. 01. The first is the 2-way audio communication. The audio quality isn't as good as it could be and there is a noticeable lag when conversing. This is the same case with other Eufy Security doorbells I've used as well, but it's not appreciably worse than the offerings from Nest or Ring. 02. The AI person detection isn't quite as accurate as I'd like it to be. Admittedly I have very high standards when it comes to this feature so it may be a little unfair of me to say that, but I'm sticking to it. I should note that ALL humans that could have been detected have been thus far. My gripe here is that when vehicles park in front of my home, the doorbell will intermittently alert me that it has detected a human where the face is one of the tires on the vehicle. I've decreased the sensitivity of the AI detection to reduce these, but I wish i didn't have to. It would also be helpful if there was a "training' feature where I could indicate that the detected item was not indeed a face and that it should be ignored going forward. 03. Eufy Security is artificially limiting themselves to the 32GB eMMC storage on the device. It would be nice to have the option to expand the storage via an internal micro sd card slot to extend the amount of lookback time you have available. If not a micro sd card slot on the device, then perhaps they could make use of their fantastic Homebase 2 devices that work with their other wireless doorbell and camera offerings. That would also allow for more than 5 days of lookback. I understand that this is a "nice to have" and not a necessity, but I still want it. 04. Apple HomeKit connectivity. I'm confused as to why Eufy Security's doorbell products cannot integrate with HomeKit when some of their camera and Homebase 2 devices have the ability to do so. As someone heavily invested in the HomeKit ecosystem this would be a huge win for me. 05. I wish it didn't disable my original doorbell chime. The included wall wart chime performs well, but I do miss the old mechanical chime I used to have. I know the limitation is due to the device not having a battery. I get it. But maybe future iterations could include a small capacity battery that would allow the device to receive adequate power while also allowing users' original doorbell chimes to continue to work as normal. All that said, i believe this is the best doorbell you can buy right now. It has everything you might want and nothing that you don't. I wish there was a rating higher than 5 stars. I would give it that one for sure.

      Could you please enable HotSpot on your phone and make the doorbell connect to your hotspot to see if it works? Steps:side menu>my devices>wifi connection>change wifi

      If yes, the issue should be related to your wifi settings. Please try the following steps to see if the issue will be resolved quickly.

      -Reset the router
      -If possible, move the router closer to the doorbell. The distance between the doorbell and the router should be within 30ft. The actual range will vary depending on a number of factors such as the thickness of walls, obstacles inside the house, and the location of the router.
      -Test in the following website to see whether it is because of the slow speed of the wifi.

      -Turn off the firewall to see whether the doorbell can connect to WiFi. If so, please check your firewall setting to see if there are any special restrictions for the device. You can check the firewall setting on your router's official website.Please make sure these ports are allowed:
      TCP:80, 443
      UDP:0-65535

      If you have changed the network after setting up but the doorbell cannot connect to wifi:
      PS: Wired doorbells can support hidden WiFi SSID:

      -- Unhide the wifi network
      -- Connect the doorbell camera to the listed wifi network per device instructions.
      -- Hide the wifi network.
      -- Restart the doorbell camera using the “Restart” button in settings on the Eufy Security app.

    I've blown two Eufy-recommended specification transformers with this unit that I had to pay an electrician $100 each time to change out. I've read reviews in which folks have blown three or more transformers, and the video bell doesn't work. They ended up having to do some elaborate finagling to actually use it. I wanted this unit to work so badly as I had just had a wonderful experience with a recently purchased Eufy's Smart Touch wifi door lock (so far). I'll be returning this one-day old doorbell to Best Buy. I can't afford to have stock in a transformer company, nor an electrician on stand by.

    First off this doorbell is super easy to install and set up. The included chime is nice. It would be better if you could still utilize the original chime and have the plug in one as a secondary. The picture quality is much better than the one I replaced. I can read the lettering on vehicles out front! What I'm not crazy about is the human detection. Needs work. It notifies constantly for vehicles, plants, wind. It has only picked up the mail man twice as a human, no one walking on sidewalk. You can set detection zones and I have them set, but it still notifies on stuff outside the zone.

    I used the Eufy to replace an existing Video Doorbell I've used for over a year. So far it is a better all around experience. Installation was as easy as it gets, again replacing an existing video Doorbell. The only thing different was you have to jump the wires (Jumper Wire Included) on the existing doorbell chimes in your home. Something anyone should be able to easily do. And of course the new chime just plugs into an outlet and you are done installing. You will need to download and install the Eufy app on your smartphone. Once this was done connecting the phone and doorbell was again simple. Lots of great features, such as live view and recording, two way audio, and activity zones. Camera really delivers great video in light and after dark, and not so many false notifications. This will remain, and the other brand will be relegated to storage in the garage. Overall I really like this Video Doorbell and would recommend it highly.

    Half of the time it takes a minute to view a live feed. Half of the time the live feed never opens at all! I also get notifications on my phone (Android) about 30 seconds after someone has rang the bell. Sometimes I never get a notification.

    Unboxing the eufy 2k wired video doorbell, you’ll find the video doorbell, the doorbell chime and US plug, mounting brackets and hardware, jumper wires, a release tool, and the Quick Start Guide. The video doorbell itself feels well made with a seemingly glass front and metal body and is IP65 weatherproof. The mounting brackets are metal construction. The doorbell chime features a plastic body and a cloth covered speaker making it not unattractive. Physical installation of the components is super easy and took less than 20 minutes. After that, setup and configuration was similarly straightforward. The Quick Start Guide is clear and concise and covered my circumstances perfectly. Overall performance has been good. Video and audio quality is very good. The camera offers a super wide angle that shows me almost my entire porch with some fish-eye effect (a setting in the app helps to reduce this). Color representation is good and back lighting has not been an issue. The app is subscription-free, has been very stable (Android 11), and offers a wealth of configuration options and information: i.e. Video quality, Motion Detection, Mode scheduling, storage capacity status, etc. Doorbell button presses result in an app notification very quickly but Motion Detection alerts can be a little slow to register on the phone (+/- 5 sec). Also, I have been getting some false positives for the ‘Human’ detection but those are decreasing as I continue to tweak the settings. Overall, the eufy 2K wired video doorbell is an excellent option for a wired video door and I am very satisfied with the product.
