      In this case, could you please enable HotSpot on your phone and make the doorbell connect to your hotspot to see if it works?

      If your doorbell can connect with the Hotspot, the issue should be related to your wifi. To locate the issue, may I know whether other devices connected to the wifi can work normally? If yes, please try the following steps to see if the issue will be resolved quickly.
      -Make sure your wifi is 2.4 Hz wifi
      -Confirm if your wifi is encrypted by WPA-PSK or WPA2-PSK
      -If possible, move the router closer to the doorbell. The distance between the doorbell and the router should be within 30ft. The actual range will vary depending on a number of factors such as the thickness of walls, obstacles inside the house, and the location of the router.
      -Some houses have two network devices. For example, one is the ISP-provided Internet gateway/modem and the other is a router purchased separately. During setup, make sure your smartphone and doorbell are connected to the same wireless router, and the Wi-Fi is not isolated from the LAN. Your phone should not be connected to the Guest Wi-Fi network.
      -Turn off the firewall to see whether the doorbell can connect to WiFi. If so, please check your firewall setting to see if there are any special restrictions for the device. You can check the firewall setting on your router's official website.Please make sure these ports are allowed:
      TCP:80, 443
      UDP:0-65535

      PS:Wired doorbells can support hidden wifi SSID, if you have an issue with SSID wifi connection, please try:
      -- Unhide the wifi network
      -- Connect the doorbell camera to the listed wifi network per device instructions.
      -- Hide the wifi network.
      -- Restart the doorbell camera using the “Restart” button in settings on the Eufy Security app.

    No chime, no dice.

    Does not let you use your existing doorbell chime. And it does not connect to my existing homebase 2. Debating whether to return and use the older battery doorbell. Not sure if 24hr recording is worth the cons. It could record longer if it did connect to the homebase & with them adding usb support for the base in the future. The two would be perfect together. Also, why not add a tiny battery for the existing chime?

      I’m truly sorry this doorbell doesn’t work wiht homebase at present. This doorbell comes with a chime, just it can’t work with the existing chime. It is designed mostly for perople who wants larger local storage (up to 32GB) and continuous recording (5-day continuous recording).

    Probably the worst doorbell camera I have ever purchased in my life. It doesn’t record crap. Could not talk to anyone at the door. Before you say “ hey I am opinionated and hate you” let me tell you. I replaced this with the Logitech circle view and it’s flawless. In your face imaginary opinionated person.

      In regards to the issue of missing movement, please try the following steps to see if it the issue persists:
      1.Set the “Motion defection”to be “All motion”.
      2.Delete the “Activity Zone” if you have set it.

      If it doesn’t help, please provide the following information to find the root cause.
      1. A picture to show the position where you want to trigger the doorbell.
      2. The exact time point when the doorbell missed to capture the movement. Such as September-18 at 14:00.
      3. Please download any video from the app and send it to us.

      As for the issue of notification, let's see if the following steps are helpful:
      1.Make sure you have enabled "notification" for eufy security app, steps: settings>notifications>eufy secirity>Allow notifications.
      2.Make sure you have enabled "Notification" for both "Doorbell ring" and "Motion detect" on the app. Steps: Side menu>My devices>Doorbell settings>Notification.
      3.Have you set "schedule" or choose the mode, such as "Home" or "Away"? If you have set it, please make sure you have enabled "Push notification" in the different modes. Steps: Security(on the bottom of the page on the app)>Doorbell-E8202>Home/Away>Enable “Push notification”.
      4.If possible, try in a different network environment and try on a different phone.
      5.Have you shared the devices with your family members and give them the "admin"? If so, please make sure if they have mended the setting for the doorbell on the app.

    I was overwhelmingly disappointed in the video doorbell I was using so I was definitely ready for a change. This one was easy to install and the app is very easy to navigate. So far it hasn’t sent me constant false motion alerts which is a huge plus. Camera is decent quality and I like that it gives me a more than adequate view of my front yard and walkway. If you’re looking for a video doorbell with no monthly monitoring fees this one seems like it may be a winner.

    I’m a big EUFY fan and I’m upset with this product. I had it at lower price and order got cancelled on Amazon. I wouldn’t recommend the wireless edition if anything.

    Does everything I need it to do.

    The install and setup was easy. I specifically purchased this because I could store and access recordings locally without paying a subscription fee. This camera also allows you to record continuously for days, while still marking events that occurred along the way. The motion detection software could use some improvement. I had to play with it a bit at each setting bit its it still thinks a car or a tree is a human on occasion. If Eufy could improve that in their next softwares update or allow more granularity points between human only and all motion, I would give this 5 stars. In all, I would recommend if you want a decent doorbell camera with no subscription fees.

    After using the eufy Security Wired 2K Video Doorbell for about a week, I can say I'd buy another for a gift. The installation with the included package works with any wired doorbell already installed on your home. I basically swapped out my current one with this one with the preexisting wires I had. Then downloaded the application for it and the setup was simple. This is great if you have a preexisting doorbell. If not, you will need the wifi model. All in all, this is nice with constantly being powered without the need to remove to charge like other brands.

    I got this doorbell to review through the Best Buy Tech Insider program and I am very happy with it. It was easy to install and setup and since it is powered through my homes wiring, I don't have to worry about changing batteries or charging it. The video quality is top notch as well. The fact that it will learn faces overtime is great as well. Having the eufy security doorbell really gives me peace of mind while I'm away.

    I love my eufy video doorbell. I wanted a wired doorbell because I've had several battery powered ones and I've found I couldn't rely on them working after some time in service. After installing the wiring, which took a couple of hours including a trip to the local home improvement store, it took me less than 30 minutes to install and setup the doorbell itself. The 1080p video is great and so is the wide angle field of view. The are many features and settings which can be used to tailor the video and recording to suit your needs. Features include setting activity zones, motion sensitivity, LED light function, video and audio adjustments. Also, recordings are captured on your own device which means no cloud fees, which I really like. Overall this is a great video doorbell for the money and I highly recommend it.

    This video doorbell is great. used it to replace our previous arlo2 system doorbell and couldn't be happier. This is much more responsive and better/easier connection. This doorbell ties directly into the home wifi which in our case is much stronger at the front door as compared to the arlo system which connects to it's main arlo hub. That being said the signal is much stronger and clearer than our previous setup. 2-way communication with anyone at the front door is smooth and clear as opposed to arlo, no lag and no difficulty communicating in real time. The included wireless chime is another great feature that allows us to place the chime anywhere in the house to make sure we can hear it. The chime also allows volume level control to turn down or off at anytime if we prefer not to be bothered. Another neat feature to this doorbell cam is that it takes snapshots of faces approaching the door - I REALLY LIKE THIS - takes and saves a snapshot for you so that you're not constantly trying to move forward or backwards on the video to get a look at someone's face as they approach. Setup was a breeze as well, 2 wires, 2 screws, even comes with an angled mounting plate so that it's actually facing the direction of oncoming guests as opposed to straight out in the yard. This is a wifi doorbell but has wired power which is also very convenient so there's never any changing batteries in the doorbell itself. Simple as could be.

    Only option if you want continuous recording

    I have two of these. The best feature is the continuous recording which none of their other products have. I like that it shows the motions on a timeline that you can skip through quickly. Much better than paging through dozens of short little clips that the other camera types generate. I wish their other products which show the clips on a timeline. But my flood light cam only shows you a list of clips. The people detection is not great which is why I'm not giving it five stars. I get a false person alert every morning when the sun is rising
