The battery on the camera last for a long time. It does not record 24/7, it only records when motion has been detected. Notifications to the phone are inmediatly. Great quality for a security camera.

Image is nice, There are some nice features. Battery life could still be far improved. Mine get all day sun and battery still ends up dying in about a week. They take quite a few hours to recharge on a plug. They will not fully charge in a reasonable time with Sunlight. I turned mine off in the settings and 2’days later I am only at 47% battery. Roughly 20% charge per day on Solar. Not nearly what they claim! Same issue with the S330 model. Supposed to be sending me 3 new ones. This is with settings at 2K for resolution and motion sensitivity around 7 (options are 1080 or 2k and sensitivity 1-7) Streaming is set to Auto. I had to set up motion zones to try to decrees false notification due to wind, but that has barely made a difference. Shadows, Trees and bushes will still set it off. There is no ability to do constant recording. The max is 120 seconds per motion trigger. With a 5 second cool down trigger between events. They are far better than some other name brands I have used though. Just at a higher cost.

This is an initial impressions review as it has been operational for 3 days now. I've been shopping for 2 years to find exactly the right security solution and eufy Solocam S40 is it! It was nice to be able to buy just one so I could try it out and add more later if I liked it. - solar powered, no wires or battery that needs manual recharging - uses WIFI, no hub, or cables - local storage, no monthly fee On taking it out of the package I liked the build quality of the camera. It is a little on the large and heavy side. It is supported by a plastic mounting bracket that seems like the weak link for such a large unit. Initial impression of the directions was that they were vague and imprecise. However, in practice they were sufficient as set up was VERY quick, easy and straight forward. I had it mounted and operational in about 45 minutes. Camera clarity is great in the day and the night. Sound quality is excellent. Can hear birds chirping. App seems responsive. Solar keeps the battery charged easily. So far I am 100% impressed and will buy more.

I already own several Eufy products. This wireless security camera is good. The quality of the videos are clear. Had no issues with initial setup and connection. As with other security cameras and most IoT, this one also connects to the 2.4 GHz frequency. I placed my camera on the southern end of our property where it gets sunlight during the day when it's not raining or when it's not cloudy. I like that it charges itself via the solar panel. No need for external solar panels to juice up the battery. I did find it a little bulky and it sticks out like a skin tag on your neck. But, it's really not a big deal since you kinda want strangers to know that you have cameras and they are being watched so they won't do idiot stuff to your property. I recommend this SoloCam. Wait for it to go on sale because that's when i bought mine.

I’ve used two competing cameras Bl!nk and G00gle Nest and these so far are superior! They have a built in spotlight for night time. The 2k quality is great too. No need to go with 4K unless you really want to see the nitty gritty. The no monthly subscription is also a deciding factor that make these the best camera to choose for someone looking for home safety. Choose these and stop looking for other cameras!

I already had a Eufy camera system but I wanted to add this carmera for the spot light feature. The solar panels do a great job as i have mounted it in a suboptimal location. After several weeks the battery is still in the mid 90s compared to my other cameras that i just had recharged in their mid-50s battery percentage. The video quality is excellent and i am very happy with it. I just wished i could have more but the locations i had to mount my cameras would not take advantage of the solar panels.

This was the absolute easiest camera to install and hookup from start to finish. Yes, i was worried about the weight but it has not budged or drooped since being put in place. It charges itself and you have free instant access on the app to motion videos. You do not need to take out a memory card and watch on a computer. I love it. Got it on sale, which i loved even more. I have owned many other cameras and this was a no brainer all the way. The night vision is also very crisp.

I switched from arlo to eufy and i can tell that was the best decision i did!we have around 11 devices from eufy and we love it !!!

Great camera the audio quality thru the camera is a bit spotty and delayed so you may need to repeat yourself but none the less Great for day and night use thanks to the night vision as well as the light on it. Great feature to have is the solar panel even in a state that doesn't get much sun might stays charged all the time. As well as the app on the phone works fantastically

It’s excellent no need for extra outlets. The solar charging works great and the quality of the video is great. It’s a must get security camera with easy to use app.

Works great; but one small problem. I’ve had it for 3 weeks and it’s working great, but there’s a small problem. If you really need the 2 way talking, I’d go with a different product, you barely hear anything (from the camera) if you’re trying to speak (from the app). Speaker, alarm, mic, camera, lights, and solar panel work great!

I am very pleased with this purchase. I like the material, quality of picture, and wide coverage. I like the integration of solar in one product, and the size is perfect. Excellent product. Fantastic quality for the price. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for an outdoor cam at a fair price.

Best quality camera out there for the price. The app is user friendly and nighttime quality is much bettet than my ring. Highly recommend when its on sale

great camera, love the no charging and no electric bill, ideal situation. knocked camera off top of 6 foot ladder onto cement and to my surprise it still worked with no apparent damage to camera. excellent picture quality.

I did my research and landed on these Eufy solar powered cameras. Im glad i did. Excellent quality and no monthly fee for storage. I have 4 cameras now for over a year now and haven't had any issues. Even my friend's and family have purchased these and love them.

Clear video and audio. Solar keeps it charged. Timely remote notification with download of locally stored event.

This camera is easy to setup and it does recharge well, and I can keep an eye on my vacation home 200 miles away without any monthly charges. The picture quality is good and the spot light is bright enough too. I was fortunate to catch this at an awesome discount but if I needed another one I would pay full price for it.

good cameras dont have to be wired and recharge as solar the only thing i didnt like was they dont pick up motion to record up to only 25 feet!i may have to buy 2 more to cover my 2000 foot house all around property i have 6 cameras now geek squad hooked them up they know what they are doing! very kind and good service!
