The SoloCam Solar Spotlight Cam is the latest in cutting-edge eufy Security battery cameras with an integrated solar panel. With the built-in 13,400mAh battery and integrated solar panel, just a few hours of direct sunlight each day is enough to extend the battery life to near-infinite power. When motion is detected at night, the ultra-bright spotlight will automatically turn on, which will not only help the color night vision, but will also scare off intruders. When it comes to security, the key is in the details. Consumers can see exactly what is happening around their home in crisp 2K clarity, detect humans that come into frame, and filter out false alerts with the built-in local AI technology. There is 8GB eMMC of 60 days free local storage and there’s no monthly fee after your purchase.
A: No base needed.
Q: What if there is a few days of cloud cover, how long can it work with no sun?
A: Normal battery life with no recharge is good for 2 months at regular usage. Solar helps the battery recharge from 75% to 98%. If there is no sun for 3 months I think we will have more to worry about.
Q: Do you have to have wifi to use this camera? I’m building a house and wanted to put one at the site.
A: Yes, eufySecurity devices needs to connect 2.4GHz Wi-Fi
Q: Is there a monthly monitoring fee?
A: You can sign up for it, but don'thave to. There's a basic $3 and $10 plan. There's an 8gb card for local storage. It can't be upgraded for more storage because it's built-in.
Q: Is this solar camera waterproof? Is it protected against rain?
A: It is IP67 Weatherproof. However, in order to avoid the problem of rapid aging of equipment due to excessive sunlight or heavy rain erosion, we recommend you use some cover to shield the surface of the solar cam if there is a lot of rain.
Q: Does this offer continuous recording or is this a record by detection only?
A: It only records when motion is detected.
Q: Hello, Will I be able to view the cameras remotely?
A: I think as long as it is connect via wifi you will be able to remotely view using the app.
A: I don't see why it wouldn't. You just wouldn't get the pings to your phone when your router is not powered. As long as the camera is on, video should be saved to the internal card and retrievable once it reconnects to the wifi.
