Bought this for mother's day and because my kids had a bad habit not staying on camera for their grandma. This device is great for them because they can walk around as normal. Would definitely recommend if video calling kids.

This is a great video phone. It’s especially great for someone who may not have a phone and use FaceTime (or equivalent). Bought this for my mom for Xmas and can now have her see the kids more regularly. Easy to use and setup.

Best way to reach out with loved ones far, far away. Simple and easy for parents and grandparents to use. They just need a Facebook and good to go. The auto camera that focuses on the person is a neat feature. Good screen savor for photos as well. Does the job for video calling.

I bought this for my sister who is a senior citizen, it was easy to install and even easier to navigate than amazon devices and better connecting with family and friends! We have had way too much fun with the special effects !

I purchased four of these for Christmas. Three were for siblings so they could better stay in touch with their grandkids who live in other states. These portals were very well received and our siblings absolutely love them.

Bought this for my mother to chat with my sister out of town. She loves because not only does she chat with my sister, we add my other 6 siblings all at one time and my grandson loves to watch his favorite on YouTube.

I bought this for my wife so she can talk to her mother and sister while seeing them. She enjoys that she can see and talk to both of them at the same time. Would have given it 5 stars, but it pulls pictures from your phone for screen saver and you can’t edit what shows on portal.

I was intrigued by the size of the screen and resolution. Pretty much comparable to 2nd Gen echo show but cannot function as what the show does. It's onlybgood for fb msgr calling. Apps were limited but at least it could play You Tube. Sounds just ok I could live with it.

Our daughter just went off to college this year and the Portal has been a great way to keep in touch with her. I highly recommend, especially at the $100 price point that they have been offering when you get 2.

We bought this for our kids who moved to different states and it has been an excellent way to talk and see each other without having to hold your phone. The way the camera follows you is great and the quality.

I bought 2, one for my wife and I and one for our daughter's family so we could see our grandson a little more often, as they live in MN and we live in KY. We have only used it once, and the vidoe on our Portal was choppy. However, our daughter said their Portal was working fine. It is possible that our Portal is not close enough to our router, or there is too much interference between the router and the unit. It wasn't difficult to set up. It does use Facebook messenger to connect, so if you are not a fan of facebook, or don't have a facebook account, then this is probably not the device for you.

We purchased two of these for Christmas one for my in laws and one for our 2 year old so that grandma and grandpa are never to far away. The baby gets the concept and will just scream for "Nana" ... much in the way she requests Google Home plays the Itsy Bitsy Spider.

Purchased this as a mothers day gift when it was on sale for <$100. It was kind of finicky about my mom's WiFi, but I eventually got it working and it seems easy enough for an 80 year old to use. She can make and receive video calls now with her Facebook friends.

Love my portal from Facebook that I bought 3 more and sent them to our daughters Canada. Will be buying another soon for my parents in Canada. It's a great way to keep in touch with family that love far away.

Bought for grandma, love being able to facetime with her and all the grandchildren. Easy enough for an 90 year old to use.

This is sooo much better than FaceTime. More people can be in the picture. Picture is sharp and clear. Allows you to move around without holding a device. Great for grandparents who don’t live in the same city

Love the portal. Easy to use, has apps that are great. Let's you stay in touch with friends and family. Camera works great following you around, picture quality so much better than face timing.

I bought this portal for my 80 year old mother so she could FaceTime the grand kids and I whenever she likes. She learned how to use it quite quickly. She loves it.

love the whole face time thing. plus its linked to the other smart items in the house so it makes life a lot easier. We now take Lazy to the next level. :o)
