This thing is COOL, y'all. Like really, really COOL! Not only can you keep in touch with family and friends near and far but you can hook up your Alexa and use it that way too! This was meant to let anyone Experience More Together! It is easy to set up and use, fun to utilize and beautiful to look at! Set up is super easy, video is super clear, the versatility is awesome. My kids can keep in touch with their grandparents and cousins easier! So awesome!

First off, I love how easy it is to set up the Facebook Portal + with Alexa - you really do not need to be tech-savvy. What I love most about the Facebook Portal is that I can connect with my family, who all live away from me. It really is like having my Mom in the kitchen with me, even though she is 300 miles away. Being able to walk around a room and still be in the frame is a great feature, it's truly hands-free and you don't feel tethered to a device with the smart camera. I could not be happier with the Facebook Portal with Alexa and the Facebook Portal + with Alexa for the purposes I need/want it for. I'm sure there will be more updates as time goes by, though, allowing for more uses for Alexa on the Portal.

If you don't live near family and friends you can see often, this is a great way to stay connected to them! Portal+ helps take the conversations to a new level and creates an experience to remember. From storytelling to listening to music together, Portal+ lets you connect on a deeper level!

This thing is awesome. Its primary function is video calling with some additional Alexa features. To plug this thing in and sync it with Facebook and let my older family just walk up to it and call their friends from around the world during Thanksgiving made my heart melt. Pro: The 140 degree camera is the best i've seen and captures the entire living room. Being able to get the entire family in the shot for that special person on the other side pretty much brings them into the experience with you. The microphones do an excellent job taking out the background noise and honing in on you even from afar. Alexa functions work well, they manage my philips hue lights and do timers in the kitchen. There is a USB-C connector on this thing and i'm not sure what its for. I have a pretty beefy USB-C Battery for my mac and I wonder if it will power this thing to allow me to make it portable. IE Put it on the coffee table for calls. Cons: During setup, you must constantly put in key into your mobile device. I really wish it was a QR code. The gongs and ring tones are very loud and I wish they were more subtle.

I love the idea of keeping in touch with family members. All of my kids' first cousins live out of town. I did a lot of research and plan to give this as a gift. As a matter of fact, I was going back and forth on whether or not this was a product that I needed or whether or not all the features can happen with devices I already own. I finally decided that I would check out the newest tech in communication plus I love that they are on sale right now! Best Buy has a great deal for $100 off if you buy two right now! If you have family members that can't be in town and you want them to feel like they are "WITH YOU" the camera will move around and focus on those talking. The one unique feature is having all of these super cool camera features! This is my favorite. Yes, I can already do face to face calls with my family...but I have to sit there and walk around with my device. I don't have to do that with this product. It is cool how the camera follows you around. The kids love filters. It isn't necessarily a feature I am crazy about but kids will love it! I gave it a 3 1/2 out of 5 because there is one feature that I really wish it had! The one feature that I wish this had was the ability for me to use it to go live on Facebook. I love the communication idea but I think even better would be to use this for going live and recordings. Facebook also has an entire article about how this is safe and secure. I feel like this is important in earning their users trust. I do like how you can keep the camera covered with you aren't using it! There is nothing that I am hiding from others but I see myself constantly unplugging it for security and safety precautions.

I loved that this product would follow me as I worked did things in the kitchen or cleaned the house, but for $300, I assumed it would have netflix or youtube or hulu or SOMETHING! I can't even log in to my youtube account because the weird browser (and the ONLY browser you can use) that comes with the product isn't secure enough. So even the internet is VERY limited. It gets 2 stars because it works well. It does the most important thing: video chat. Specifically, I like that I can use it with facebook friends. But if you are using it for people you can just convince to sign up for zoom, then get the new Echo with the rotating camera/screen. For less $$$ you get WAY more. I can't even use Alexa on the portal because the updates always fail.

This is a very good device for video chatting with kids and grandparents. I purchased one for my house and and one for my parents house. My mother thinks this is the best electronic device she's ever received. I wouldn't recommend it for anything else other than video calls.

I love how easy this is to set up even for those less tech-savvy. My mom is thrilled with this new holiday gift. Such an easy way to connect with us from 2600 miles away! Simple and easy to use with loads of great features, and the privacy clip for the video camera is great!

Love it! I like the fact it has Alexa and is easy to set up. Sent one to my best bud for the holidays. Thinking about purchasing a few more for the family.

I love this product to help my girls stay in touch with their great-grandparents! The big screen is perfect and it's such a nice way to share day to day moments with our family.

I have to admit I wasn't sure I was going to love the Facebook Portal+ but I honestly can't believe how fun it is. It was so easy to set up and now I can easily connect with friends and families any time I want to. The gallery of Facebook photos is also one of my favorite things.

Best purchase I’ve made this Christmas. Only givin it a 4 because I think there could be some improvements with the video being scratchy but im sure with more technology it will improve.

Facebook portal is a must have under the tree! An amazing gift for the tech lover and early adopter in your life that brings family and friends together!

Do not buy this product. I've been having issues since the first week of Oct 2020, and Portal Support just will not do anything to rectify the problem. Not worth the aggravation. Had to request a full refund from my credit card.

This overpriced gadget is simply a marketing ploy. Purchase a tablet for a lot less or a laptop with a zillion more features. Nuff said, end of story., have a nice day!

Very bad product. Would not recommend buying it for any reason. Takes up too much space.
