I was a little worried when I purchased this lens because of the f4, but after using this in the field I have to admit how impressed I am with how well it operates. I have a Sony A7R2 for my body and equipped with this lens, the photo resolution is ridiculously sharp. At f5.6, the lens is TACK sharp. I mean from the center to edges, 100% sharpness. The 24mm -105 served remarkably well. I had every focal length I could have ever wanted. Zoomed to 105mm, the compression for photos is amazing! Great for Ports, landscapes, street. EVERYTHING! I came from shooting only primes, 50mm 1.4, 35mm 1.4, 85mm 1.8... Really smart investment. check me out on my IG to see photos taken with the lens @bgrams__

I was looking for a good travel lens. Paired with an A7rIV this lens is great for when you only have room to take one lens with you. The wide range allows it to do almost anything. I have found on weekend trips this is the only lens I have been taking with me.

The is an excellent all-around lens. It takes clear photos, and provides a lot of flexibility in terms. I took off one star for its weight. I shoot with a Sony A7 III, which is lightweight. This lens somewhat counterbalances that benefit. But for the money, it is well worth it.

I bought this lens to replace the ZEISS 24-70 which by the way is absolute trash,the worst lens ever made. The FE 24-105 is the best Sony lens I have purchased so far. It has not been removed from my A7RII since I've put it on. It is tack sharp at all focal lengths and locks on focus very quickly. I have used this it for professional portrait photography and street photography and myself and clients have been very pleased with the results. There is no need to spend extra money on the G Master; this will give you the same results.

great all around lens. all in one. i use this lens them most. Not the best for low light, but amazing for sunny days.

This thing is “as advertised.” It’s very sharp and well built. I needed a lens that could ya for portraits, product photography and action video and this is definitely the one.

Razor sharp photos and far less expensive than the G-Master. If you can only afford one lens at this price level, this will get you the highest quality for your money.

This lens is worth the money!!! Coming from only using prime lens because a good zoom lens was too expensive, I am glad I was able to purchase this at 300.00 less than retail on sale at BB. Life is so much easier with Zoom lenses.

Would I have gotten the 24-70 GM if I had over $2000.....YUP!!! but dang I almost can't even say this is a compromise! This lens is flat out awesome! Yes it doesn't have 2.8f but with the low light sensor Sony has it holds up MORE then well! Also I feel with the smaller (barely) footprint and the longer zoom (105mm). This lens provides so much bang for you buck! Love this purchase!!!

Good value comparing to the G Master. Not too heavy as I expected on the G Master model.

Nice lens but a little bit expensive. Works very well with autofocus, face recognition.

Overall terrific lens but i was looking for an even better, i got a prime lens instead f2.8 Also if im being nit picky the manual zooming doesnt feel as refined as the ones canon make

Stunning partner for my a7R IV. It’s my walk around lens on the camera more than any other. It really works with the camera’s ultra high resolution.
