Great Lens!

I love this lens because it covers a good amount of range with a constant aperture, plus the steady shot. A great lens in my opinion.

Great Value.

Range is very useful, bokeh is good for f4 and tracking is quick & accurate. I picked mine up on sale and it was a great value at the sale price.

Best value for the money

F4 with these new Sony sensors is plenty. I plan on using this lens to have almost every focal length covered at F4 with just three lenses. 16-35, 24-105 and then 100-300. Perfect set for anyone but a pro.

Nice zoom lens for my A7 iii

As expected, it is much heavier than the kit lens so I use this lens for parties and events and i use the kit lens for casual street photography (since its lighter). Its convenient having the G button. My Tamron F2.8 lense takes nicer photos but it sometimes has communications issue with the A7, so its safer sticking with a Sony lens for parties.
I would recommend this to a friend one lense for best travel

Versatile Lens

If you are just starting at and don’t really wanna spend a ton of cash on multiple lens then this one is your go to. Also it’s very versatile covering wide-angle up to portraits. Great all day lens

Could have sprung for one of the more expensive lenses in this focal range but find that this is perfect for my needs. Carried it on my a7riii for 5 hours with no fatigue. This is a great addition to anyone’s kit.

Crisp and clean!

I do a lot of run n gun shooting and this lens is versatile for just that. Super sharp and fast focusing. It is a little on the heavy side though but not too bad.

Absolutely sharp at F/4, and only gets better as you stop down. Incredibly versatile; I use as my main video lens but could easily serve as a great travel lens in combination with my staple prime lenses (35mm and 85mm). If you’re thinking of getting into photography, I highly recommend this as your first lens as it gives you a wide array of bedrock focal lengths to play with to figure out what primes you would like to obtain. But don’t worry about retiring this lens, as it will be in your bag more often than not.

Can capture both portraits and landscape pictures, either far away or close distance. The quality of the picture is better than those taken from Nikon or Canon DSL cameras.
