Not the most challenging game but if you like the Final Fantasy universe you will like this game.

Sure, it has throwbacks. But, it reality, this is not Final Fantasy. This is just a hack and slash with 1 or 2 rpg elements thrown in.

I don't buy a lot of DS games but I've always been partial to the Final Fantady series. I enjoyed it for the most part.

I am a big final fantasy fan, I figured I'd give a handheld a try. Fun short missions Perfect for quick sessions.

A lot more casual than MH. It's like a MH game, but doesn't carry over it's weapons. Instead of focusing the weapons and how each handle, it focuses on "jobs" that you unlock via achievements, and missions. These jobs will give you different stat bonuses, limit you to what weapon you can use on what job, and limit what abilities you will be able to equip. There is no leveling up, it's all gear based progression. Game seems to be made more for coop play than solo play since things can get hairy. It's not like MH that scales depending how many players are in the lobby. This may be a Final Fantasy game by title and all, but this in NO WAY PLAYS like your typical Final Fantasy game. All this is, is a Monster Hunter like game with FF monsters and spell names. Do not buy this if you are looking for the next FF1,2,3,4,etc etc etc etc. All in all, i recommend this game to anyone who wants a more casual monster hunter experience with FF monsters.
