Customers are saying

Customers appreciate the fun and engaging gameplay, finding the job system and variety of classes to be enjoyable aspects of Final Fantasy Explorers. However, some feel the story is lacking and the game can become repetitive, particularly when playing solo. The game's difficulty may also be a factor for some players.

Be a cliche but a must have if you have a 3ds! If you're a fan of FF, you'll find lots of FF like stuff in this game whether it be bosses, weapons, and characters. I've played alot of Monster Hunter in my life and this game is very familiar to that kind of place style which was made it very easier to learn and play!

This is kind of like a LITE monster hunter with final fantasy 4 classes. Easier to play, I think though.

    - Gameplay is similar to Monster Hunter - Alot of classes and skills to choose from - Online multiplayer Good alternative to feed your mmo addiction on the 3ds.

It's very similar to Monster Hunter, but I feel like Monster Hunter is a better game overall. I got bored with game pretty quickly as it is pretty repetitive. Much more fun to play with friends

This game is good. The only thing about this game is it can become repetitive and getting a little boring after awhile.

    A solid action RPG

In this game you run around kill a lot of giant Final Fantasy themed monsters. The game is relatively simple compared to something like monster hunter, but that is a plus for me as I liked the more simple combat. The multiplayer options are pretty good, it's easy to join a friend's game and play together.

Don't get me wrong, I don't dislike this game, but at the same time, I don't love it. Square Enix could have put out an RPG that had a waaaaay better storyline (and more likeable characters), but this game is a nice Monster Hunter-esque kind of RPG, if that's what you're into. Pretty much solo game and it can get kind of repetitive and boring.

    Overall good, but repetitive

It was pretty good, but it ended up getting repetitive. The game doesn't have nearly as much fan service as I'd like. It'd be cool to pick a party of all-star characters to team up as, rather than just transform into an FF character for a minute or so.

I went into this game expecting a monster hunter type of game, however it's much slower and strategic. That isn't to say its a bad game, it's actually pretty fun, but don't go in expecting MH.

Being a huge Monster hunter fan, this game had a lot of hype for me, because I love final fantasy so a final fantasy MH type game had me very interested, however the game isnt that great, its okay its not horrible, but after playing it for awhile, i just wasnt that impressed and lost interest after a while, if you are a die hard final fantasy fan and want something portable give it a try but if not, your better off just playing something else

Decent, but easy Monster Hunter clone

    Posted .

Explorers is essentially a clone of the Monster Hunter series, and while technically competent, it plays it rather safe instead of differentiating itself. It's fun to run around in a world that draws from all the cool Final Fantasy monsters and characters, but its just a coat of paint on an easy game that never really finds its own identity. I'd recommend it only for the die hard fans!

Good game, can be kinda open world when not accepting missions/quests. Some character customization. Seems like a lite version of their mmos final fantasy xi and xiv.
