    I found myself not really liking this that much. I was hoping that I would enjoy the newer fighting system but it wasn't that fun.

    Way too much padding to reach the quoted 40 hours. There is a side quest where you literally herd cats. You can skip these, but the bosses are hard so you'll need the XP.
