This is an absolutely stunning game. I didn't play the original, but the graphics are beautiful and the music is great.

Excellent remake. The new combat system is better than expected. The music is really good for a video game. They added a lot of elements to the story, which is okay, but if they keep at this pace it’s going to take 5 more volumes to finish the game.

Final fantasy 7 remake provides a dose of nostalgia while freshening things up a bit. The newly formulated combat system provides freedom to tackle any encounter in a variety of ways, and the ability to switch between characters in combat provides an exciting twist to the traditional archaic turn based modality. The game looks beautiful, sometimes the frame rate drops on the PS4 pro, and it’s frustrating that the game is only part one of a part xx series. 5 stars.

This game has brought me back to younger years. Game has been fun to play.

Very fun, fast paced fighting. The changes from the original were acceptable. I just wish we could have had a taste of the open world. The remake ends about a third of the way through the story of disc one of the original. Looking forward to the installments.

The Final Fantasy VII Remake is a good game for fans of the series but it felt like an overall frustrating experience. One of my major problems with the game is the amount of filler as you are moving through the story. Story scenarios which were more concise in the original game are now padded and slow down the gameplay. Another frustrating element is the large amount of bridges and tight spaces you need to crawl through, ladders you need to climb. This events introduce animations which quickly become repetitive and time wasting. The gameplay is not bad but not fun, the bosses feel like HP sponges and take too long. Play the original game first if you have not.

you don't need to be a veteran with nostalgia to enjoy this game. Having played the original, you may now where this story is going to go, but you will be ecstatic to see how certain points of the journey is experienced. if you are new to the game, franchise or genre, you are in for a ride. Battle system is great, it gets a little to be used to it. Use them shortcuts, help a lot. Beware, Chapter 9 gets a little weird, Japanese style. Enjoy the game!

Great update to a classic game. The modern combat slime is worth purchasing not to mention the great story.

I cannot stop playing it. Love main and side side story, how can spent skill points, and buy items in game.

This game brings back such memories. I cannot count the times I fell asleep playing the original well after I had beat the game and was simply trying to get all the secrets. Square has done an excellent job in recreating this and I'm actually glad it comes in parts as that means they are giving it an entire rework and not skimping on it at all. Love this game!

Great game, love the graphics but prefer the old school turned based rpg combat. You can see the characters how they were meant to be portrayed, awesome remake. 4 stars because I would have loved to play this as a turned base rpg.
