For fans of the original series, this is a remarkably deep dive into the original, and one of the most interesting remasters I've every played. It'll take a bit to get used to the new combat system (it's nothing like the menus of old) but it's fun and satisfying. A must-own.

Thrilling to see all my favorite characters from the original game come to near live action clarity. Graphics are great and with tons of extra side quests and additional storyline thematics it's loads of fun. Plus a totally new modern game engine provides a smooth and controlled experience.

I havent played the PS version of ff7, but I feel that this ine is padded out too much in terms of the story. Its like watching filler episodes of a popular anime At least for the first 20 - 25% of the story. Have just made it to aerith church scene so thats where im at, but so far the story doenst pull me in. The combat is original and pretty fun though so thats a plus, and the graphics are great. Overall so far its a 7 to me but I havent completed the game yet, so we'll see.

I played other FF games but this is my first time playing FF7. You learn to love the characters and the story line is off the charts. I'm most definitely getting the part 2! I finished the main story line is about 45 hours and I seen others get 100% in about 60 hours. I don't regret getting this game at all.

whether you played this game when it first came out and have warm fuzzy nostalgia like me or you are brand new to FF, this game is addictive, beautiful to look at, fun to play, with characters to care about. It feels just as relevant now as it did then, and has a great sense of humor, too.

This game looks absolutely gorgeous and features a fresh new battle system; however, beware that this only covers a part of the original game's narrative.

If you have not yet heard this is only chapter 1 of a 3 part remake of the original final fantasy 7. It only covers till you leave midgar, having said this, this is a REALY good game and worth every penny. The voice acting, combat, and environments are top notch. A must play for anyone and everyone.

Playing this remake is a blast from the past if you were lucky enough to enjoy it back in the PlayStation 1 days. The only bummer is its not the full story as this is just part 1 and there are going to be a couple more parts in the future.

Well it was worth the 23-year wait. The new battle system is incredibly fun. Hard mode is really where it's at though. Can't wait to see what comes next, but unfortunately we all have to. Putting DLC for a PS4 game on PS5 only is pretty lame though. Bad SE! No biscuit.

Amazing remake! If you like the FF franchise or RPGs in general you are going to want this game. Graphics and sound are on point. If you played the original you will appreciate this game that much more. And if you don’t like the game....you should do some self reflection on your poor taste.

A fantastic experience and return back into the world of Final Fantasy VII. An excellent balance of what I loved from the original version for the PS1 but with enough additional content to keep it from being stale. Great for people who played the original but also for players new to the story.

Man oh man this is a awesome game! If you love RPG games, the original ff7 or just final fantasy games is general. Then this game is definitely for you! The graphics and sounds are perfect. I really liked the new fighting game play. This is near perfect and can't wait for part 2

I never played the original FFVII but always wanted to. The remake was very enjoyable. Some of the side quests were just filler but the main story was excellent. It gets a little confusing at the end if you haven't played the original but I was able to figure out what was happening.

The battle system has a few flaws but overall a well made game. Took me about 45 hours to finish. Looked great even on a base PS4. Only downside is that we don't know when Part 2 & 3 are going to come out. I did not play the original and thoroughly enjoyed this one.

I have to say this game is what games should be from the graphics, story voice acting and the breath taking cinematics. The gameplay is fresh and feels like a better version final fantasy 15 system with a sprinkle of final fantasy 12 as far as battle mechanics go. You will love it I promise.

Only 5 hours in but the graphics look great. Wish it was the complete game, hope I don't have to wait years and years just to actually finish it.

Great job to Best Buy’s delivery service. I was supposed to receive my order next day and ended up getting it the same day I ordered it! FF7 Remake has been a blast to play so far. I just hope that the next chapters aren’t so many years off from releasing as it took this one to develop.

SquareEnix has perfected the battle system they've been hunting for for almost two decades now. Incredible character depth and model animation, excellent voice acting, and does not compromise the original FF7 vision. A few flaws and a polarizing ending, but nonetheless, a stellar 10/10.

This game is amazing, I purchased the game about 3 weeks ago, and so far so good. The plot is attention grabbing and I like that it changes depending on the options you chose. The characters are extremely detailed, the graphics look so real, it's like watching a movie, but better.

I loved this game when I was kid. Beat every boss in the game and did every event. Playing as an adult with these new updated graphics was one of my greatest gaming joys that I’ll always remember. Even though this is only half or a third of the game, I still put 50 hours + in it!
