Amazing job bringing back a classic and giving us more of what we loved. Great characters, interesting story with twists, and amazing game play. I've never gotten a platinum trophy before but I am just a few days away from doing just that and 100% competing this game. Highly recommend.

I haven't played much yet, but what I have is awesome! There is so much detail and if you have played the original, you are going to love how everything comes alive like you haven't seen before. If you loved the original or are just seeing this game for the first time, get this game!

An excellent Final Fantasy game and a lot of fun, but do not go in expecting it to just be the same story as 1997's version with updated graphics. Story elements, combat systems, and dialogue have all been changed. A great way to spend 50 hours.

I could never finish the original as a kid but I really love this remake. It has just enough of the classic without being a shot by shot remake. The new graphics and battle mechanics are fun and interesting and kept me wanting to keep grinding just to get that buster sword up to spec.

Always thought the original FF7 was a bit overrated so went into this not having much hope but was a really fun game. Characters felt well fleshed out, combat was pretty solid although some things were a bit annoying like spells taking a bit too long to be casted. The boss fights were these big events that had huge cinematics when changing to the next phase. Story can have me a bit worried since Nomura likes making big convoluted stories that takes forever to get resolved

All the charm and even deeper character development of the original with a nice juicy twist! New and old players will enjoy this game as you get 40+ hours on just the first play through and will still have lots to do on second go. Gorgeous game. Well done Square/Enix, well done.

Came exactly as it said it would! GAmeplay is fantastic and the visuals are definitely worth the wait! Did I not enjoy that they split the gale up into two? Yes. But do I think that it will be worth it to see what they have in store for the next installment? UM YES!

I really like the character interactions they added to the game and the combat system is addictive to play. I just wish they had made this the entire game and not just half of disc 1 of the original game. The idea that I have to pay $60 possibly 3-4 more times for what is essentially one game is ridiculous. Also the extra scenes w Sephiroth at the beginning make the plot more confusing and not less so and I wish they maintained the mystery his character had in the original instead of beating my head over with it. I blame Nomura.

This Final Fantasy Remake is excellent for fans because it contains great graphics with the same story line; main difference is that the game play is now like all other games (Adventure style) instead of keeping it the way it was. Either way is great to live the story all over.

I’ve never played the original FFVII, as traditional JRPGs aren’t my thing (the Paper Mario and Mario & Luigi series aside). This, however, was very surprising to me, in a good way. It plays like a tighter Kingdom Hearts, and the story is somewhat coherent in comparison to that series. Being able to talk control of each of your party members is a nice change from KH, and slowing down the action while you choose to use your special attacks and/or heal is a nice decision. Really excited for the next installment!

This game is my first Final Fantasy and it was absolutely fantastic. I often find myself having a hard time finishing games as I lose interest fast, but this one held my attention all the way through and was most definitely worth the price.

The original Final Fantasy 7 was the first JRPG that I played and is one one my all time favorite games. This remake is a masterful recreation that stays true to the original and adds so much more. Great gameplay and incredible graphics, truly a must play game for your PS4!

Even though the game has been split into multiple parts, there is still a lot of content with additional details added. Having a great time so far with the gameplay and the story. I just hope there isn't too many parts or it doesn't take too long to release all of the parts.

Love the game. Hits all the nostalgia cords from when I first played FF7. Introduces a lot of new battle mechanics and story elements. goes to the extent of explaining some things that were hinted at very subtly in the original, and I didn't see the hidden message in the original. Such as: what really happened in the 1st mako reactor (obviously avoiding a spoiler) CON: I am currently annoyed with Best Buy as I preordered from Best Buy but did not receive a digital bonus. Sucks for me I guess. I still advise to play it

Great game, haven’t gotten too far. I’ve actually gotten more nostalgia to play the original before complete in this game. Wish there were more customization as far as weapons and armor and such. Seems like it would be good for new players to the Final Fantasy genre.

This game is drastically different than the original but its still fun to see some of the childhood memories i had of places but with updated visuals and exploration. I've barely scratched the surface on this game but will power through and finish it

I stayed away from reviews and topic to get a refreshing start of a game that I put so many hours into years ago. The remake blows you away the added so much more and made it look like a totally new game. If you are a final fantasy fan this will blow you away.

pretty good game , it can drag but only if u when taking on the side quests , aside from that great visuals great combat system

Amazing remake of the original 1997 game. Faithful in important, but much needed changes in others to make your purchase worthwhile. Had an easy time getting it thanks to Best Buy and the amazing employees who were there even in this dire time of the pandemic.

I have not fully played the original, so I don't have the fanboy fervor some players have for VII. The Remaster is gorgeous and the voice acting is top notch. There were, however, times where I felt the game forced you to crawl when you wanted to run. I feel as though if these sections of the game were trimmed out it would have been more of a 20 hour game. The scale in difficultly between Easy and Normal is also disparate in my opinion. Overall, it is a great game; it's just not my favorite game.
