Nostalgia overload! FF7 beautifully redesigned following the original story. If you were a fan of the original from 1997, you will not be disappointed.

I played FF7 like so many others as a boy and I loved the adventure and intrigue it provided me. FF7 as a boy was my first rpg and now as a man I'm reliving my childhood through this brand new modern iteration's experience and I am loving it. It has enough nuances to make it feel like it's a brand new game not what I played before and I appreciate that. I would have loved if the game had gotten through the entirety of the story like before but they've put in a whole lot into this experience where I am definitely not let down and think most RPG/action fans will enjoy it as well. Highly recommended!

I can’t believe the amount of detail made to this classic game, This retelling it’s completely spectacular! A must have for any PS4 whether you’re a FF fan or not!

I went into this game expecting an okay experience and was blown away by how much I enjoyed it. The combat is fluid and easy to understand with several options available to customize the experience. But the real stars of this game are locations and the characters both add so much to make this game an unforgettable experience. I am being purposely vague in this review because there are some changes from the original and depending on how you feel about that will change how you feel about this game. Me personally I did not mind the changes and if you are open to change to then this is a game for you.

Very good Final Fantasy game, highly detailed graphics and smooth gameplay that look amazing on the ps4. I recommend this to all fans of the series.

Amazing remake of a true classic! Impressive visuals and welcomed improvements, was so much fun to revisit these characters!

I really enjoyed getting to see the classic scenes redone and expanded upon with a modern style. The music is incredible. The gameplay is fine, but I do wish it was less action-oriented. The new scenarios really did nothing but pad the game out - the original's story is already pretty perfect, so nothing new felt necessary.

You will fall in love with this game. The story starts slow and you have to get into it. A bit repetitive but that’s what most games are nowadays

I’m usually Leary if remakes, but they delivered with this. It’s a steal lad game that takes the original and further develops the story and the characters.

This game is incredible and the new fighting style is fun and gives you a more fluid fell, it has a style similar to Final Fantasy 15 but better.

Great remake of the classic game. Graphics are outstanding. Didn’t care for the new fighting system but you get used to it. Took about 70 hours to complete.

A tip for anyone interested--this "remake" borrows a lot of content from the FF7 compilation. IMO, it's not necessary to know the entire compilation right now but would suggest getting into them eventually to get more context and content on some things before the next installment is released. I heavily recommend playing the og as well, if you are new to the game. This "remake" is an expanded portion of the first 6-8 hours of content from the original. This is not the full FF7 experience but a more branched out version. Overall, it's a fun "remake" and I cannot wait for part 2.
