The first 6 chapters are great, then it becomes a slog. It's fine for what it is, but for people who have played the original, just know they turn the whole Midgar section (which is about 6 hours long in the original) into a 30+ hour game. There are a lot of great moments, but so much filler and padding.

Loved the classic FF7 game and the remake did not disappoint. Beautiful visuals and modernized gameplay. 10/10 can't wait for the next one!

Absolute blast of a game. The remake is all the fun of the original game, but with an incredible amount of extra content all in awesome detail.

When I arrived at the store, the staff was very friendly, and I received my item very quickly. When I took it home to play, it worked very well.

This game was amazing and well worth the wait. As a fan of the original back in the day it was so cool seeing this evolve with today's graphics. I loved that it kept the heart of the original and added some great depth to the story that was unexplored before. Though there were some difficult moments the game overall wasn't too hard. It felt more like playing a movie. As a warning, this is not the complete Final Fantasy 7 story. So though I put many hours into it, it is not complete in comparison to the original.

Such a classic and love the new graphics and gameplay. This is the game that got me hooked on FF all those years ago and it's still a blast.

good game a lil dissapointed its not the full ff7 story covering all the characters and the way you get summons inst as fun but overall solid gameplay

I played this game in 1997 when it was released. Now, I am playing it again. I have the same feeling as before best final fantasy game ever.

If you’ve ever played the original then this will really be a great game If you’re new to the ff series it’s a good place to start too

If you’re a fan of the original FF7, you’ll love this. There are a few changes but remember it’s a remake, not a remaster! Other than that, amazing game!

The graphical upgrade from the original FF VII is awesome. The over all game experience was awesome. I wish I could play it again for the first time.

I first played FFVII back in 1997. My friend and I actually skipped our lecture class in college to get it and play it. That being said I’ve played the original many time. This new version of the game is simply beautiful. It checks all of the boxes for nostalgia. But add’s new story and game play. My only complaint is that this is more or less the first chapter in a series. My only hope is that don’t stretch it out too far. I’m actually surprised they just started working on the second part. Either way if your new to the story or familiar with it you will love it.

One of the best remakes of all time. This along with resident evil remakes are by far the best in recent years. Can’t wait for part 2!

This is one of the reasons I bought a PS4. While I've never playe.d the original, from what I've played so far...not disappointed

if you grew up with playstation one, you'll understand the importance of this game. this remake changes a few things, but the soul is still the same.

I never played the original, but seeing the graphics of it and how silly it looked back then, I love this. I love how cloud can change his weapons too

Can’t believe how beautiful and amazing this game is. I am not a FF7 fan boy, but hays off to this PS4 gem! A must for any fan or Graphics aficionado!

Excellent remake of a classic game. Love the up updated graphics from the PS4. Still would not mind playing this on the original PlayStation.
