Wait to play it on a PS5, it's worth it. My jaw repeatedly dropped at how gorgeous this game looks.

Even if you didn't play the original, you could easily jump into this game. I will say one thing though, spoiler free: It may help to play the original first to truly appreciate the small details that have changed in the game either element wise or story wise. All in all I can almost guarantee that the ending will surprise you and you'll be begging for part 2 like I am. Also, running through the game once is roughly 40 hours long. Definitely worth picking up because it is not a "short" game.

Too short. I wish it had more of the story. I wanted to see the open world so much! I could have passed on the whole cross dressing elaboration just to see a bit of the open world. But, if you are a fan of the midgar segment, you will enjoy it. And it is still pretty great.

Such a great game, like the original, but different enough to make it feel fresh.

So far this game has been alot of fun. It brings back great memories and I can't wait for my kids to play it when I'm done.

I remember playing this back in the 90's on the PS One. I must say it's blast revisiting Midgar. This is a must play!!!

This is a remake not a remaster. That being said I enjoy the changes that were made. I will play this one through again.

An amazing game that I finished in about 40 hours. It’s only the first part of the remake so don’t expect the full story, but it’s an amazing retelling of the midgar part of story that adds some unexpected twists and turns that will definitely make you excited for the sequel.

The original FF7 was amazing! The remake does it great justice. I can’t wait for the rest of the parts to come out.

The amount of effort and detail that was put into this game is incredible. A must own for anyone who played the original.

So much fun, hard to put down! Got it bit late from release day but have been playing every night after work religiously!

I saw my cousin playing the game first before I bought it and I liked the graphics and picture and it looked interesting

I never played the original game, but as a gaming fan in general and specifically Final Fantasy fan, well aware of the game, its popularity and so on. I still had some expectation for a high quality game, and this game met them. Beautiful game with great characters and an engaging story, the only disappointing part is that it is only a fraction of the original full story, so we are left to anticipate hopefully a sequel that nailed the spirit of the original as well as this one did.
