Amazing graphics, great music, good voice acting, hugely expanded storyline... Just note that it has a totally different battle system and the attempts to offer a sort-of turn-based system is kinda not great. Some of the controls for the mini games are a little weird. But all that is hardly important when you have a game whose ambitions are as insane as this...

It lives up to expectations

Yet somehow it does. FFVII Remake is a true and loyal homage to the original, while still creating something wholly new. The 40 hour playthrough takes place entirely in Midgar, so don't get your hopes up about seeing the outside world quite yet (that's coming in the sequels), but it is still satisfying as can be.
