I am not a fan of the combat ATB (non-active character AI is horrible). There is a noticeable lack of areas to efficiently grind out levels and Materia. Also some of the voice acting is kind of lame.

If you are unfamiliar with the original then you will still enjoy it, but I feel it is geared more towards people who know the story. You know how it is when you read a book and then they make a movie about it? I feel it's like that. Overall I'm loving this game and they did a great job. I just know I'll be upset when it's over and I have to wait an unknown amount of time to play the next chapter.

Worth the wait

Was a little nervous when I heard this was just the first of a series of final fantasy 7 games. There's definitely some filler that I dont care for, but it's literally just a couple moments in the game. This game gives life to characters that really didn't have much going on in the original. All the best moments from the original are here with fresh paint. Excited to see where the series goes from here.
