The battles in the game vary in difficulty and as a casual gamer, I struggle at times, but manage to defeat a strong enemy after a few tries. The graphics are beautiful and the voice actors fit their characters. The story line differs from the original but not enough that it changes the original story line, but just gives you a bit of more background development on some characters. Really enjoying the game even though I haven't finished it yet.

Love the game what can I say. I played it originally on the PS1 back in the day 100% beat every weapon (emerald, rubi, etc), got every item. This is an excellent take on the game many loved. The only thing I did not like as an original player is the way sephiroth is portrayed at the beginning of the game. I remember I saw sephiroth as a hero, and mentor to cloud. They little by little you could see his progression to madness. In this remake they make villainous and crazy right from the get go. Its like watching the sephiroth from Avent Children, in there it makes sense because its a sequel, but not here. Did not like that at all. other than that it would be a 5 star for me. I did not mind the simple and sometimes unimportant quests, for me it was a pleasure to wonder around in the world, even if it was for collecting cds, or killing some rats hehe.

After beating the game, I found it to be quite enjoyable. Despite being only the first part of the original game, it still managed to feel like a full game for the most part. There were a few graphical bugs, but other than that it looked really good.

Its reeeeally good and with the graphics update even better cant wait to finish.

This game is pure nostalgia! While it is only the beginning part of the original, it is a masterpiece!

What a game. To me, this is GOTY 2020. It is so ambitious and so grand in scope, but it feels personal and the characters truly shine. The characterization is exceptional and the legendary FFVII cast is better here than they ever have been before. Square has done a great job modernizing a classic. The revamped battle system is really fun, blending action and turn based combat beautifully. Can't wait for Part 2.

Perfect remake can't wait for the remaining sequels

Game was great, but if the guy who sold it during their curbside pickup hadn’t leaned in and breathed all over my girlfriend, that would have been cool. If you gotta ask, wear a mask. Also, don’t drop the game on the cement right in front of me and stroll over like it was no big deal. Two tabs inside that holds one of the discs broke and my data disc was scratched. Santa is going to give this guy some sugar-free gummy bears for Christmas.

Very good game, but there was a lot of parts where the game dragged and seemed repetitive and cumbersome; however, when it got good, it was an amazing game. Unfortunately, only half of the game is amazing and other half tolerable at best,

Great game for those who are fans of the original, can't wait to see the rest of it when it comes out.

So glad they finally remade this game, truly if not one of the greatest games ever made.

This is a must have for any PS4 collection. The waves of nostalgia hit me hard playing through this.
