I remember playing this game on the PS2 many years ago and was always a fan of the franchise. When I saw this remake for the PS4, I knew I had to try it. And I am not disappointed so far. Game play has been great, the story line and battle mechanics have changed but hasn’t taken away from the fun. I would highly recommend to both fans of the original franchise and people who are new to the franchise alike.

Very fun to play. Combat is a little weird I felt like I could never dodge properly. They took some liberties with the story but overall it was an enjoyable ride and I need to re play it on hard mode for the full experience.

I have always been a fan of the original, which is one of the best RPGs ever made. The remake greatly expands the first part of the story but does a great job with it. There is tons to do. If you enjoy RPGs like Nier: Automata, The Witcher (probably the best RPG made outside of Elder Scrolls V) or FF XV (this is a sleeper as well), FF VII Remake MUST be in your collection.

My favorite final fantasy. Waited so long for this remake and it did not disappoint

Ff7r blew away my expectations that I had for it. As a long time fan of the series, I liked ff7 a lot, but it wasn’t my favorite. The remake gave me a new love for the game and the characters. I would highly recommend this game for those who are on the fence of trying it out, just be aware that it’s not the exact same as the original so be a bit open to new things. But isn't that what makes it exciting?

So far, i've only gotten to Seventh Heaven and been walking around town completing side quests. I love how they've expanded on the story I love. This is only the second PS4 game that I paid full price for. I wanted to have a physical copy, but upgraded digitally to the deluxe. I hope they'll have DLC that adds levels or chapters to the story. I'm in no hurry to finish. I'm just enjoying the journey.

A pretty good first installment of a remake of a classic with some new twists in that promises to change things from the original down the line. Very good action and gameplay with excellent bosses. Great music and visuals.
