Classic is Better

Its the game play, which echoes 'Devil May Cry' and destroys any turn based elements. Its the lack of an open world environment to explore and side quests to engage in. Too linear, not creative enough. Happy I played it, but would have been fine waiting until the price went down instead of preordering it expecting greatness like its 1997 predecessor.

Great remake of a classic

There are different difficulty settings you can use and a lot of detailed cut scenes in this game. You can choose to do a lot of side quests or stick to the main storyline. If you've ever enjoyed Final Fantasy games, you should like this one. Has good music and fight sequences.

Perfection

FF7 was the first RPG game I played in 1997 and today’s version trumps that one by a long country mile. Don’t kid yourself by waiting for other versions to release thinking it will be better. Just jump in and hang on for the wild ride!
