Remake done right

The improvements in every respect—gameplay, combat, graphics, voice acting, and more—make this a far superior game to the original, even if it only covers a portion of that game's story.

Great Game but Feels a Little Lacking

I do not think this remake would be the best entry point for newcomers to Final Fantasy 7, as it has too many references to the original game. Long time fans, however, will probably love and appreciate the remake a lot more like I did. The combat is a lot better and the story is more of a retelling of the original story. The characters are beautifully designed and the voice acting is top-notch. My only gripe is the game is less than one-third of the original story and feels incomplete. We only get up to the point of leaving Midgar, in the original game.

Final Fantasy to be Continued

FF7, the way it should be

If you played Ff7 before, this is a must have. Great nostalgia with updated mechanics and graphics. If you are new to the Ff7 world, this is a great place to start. The production value is very high and the storyline is as good as the first time the game was released. Highly recommended for Rpg fans.

A Classic Made Better

However, Square Enix kept true to the original game and story and overlayed an exciting action combat system on top of it. I beat it once and will play through it again to unlock all the secrets.

If you want a game that has a solid story buy it. I cannot stress this enough. The game is really well made and plays amazing. Load times are quick on my PS4 Slim. The game comes with a install disk and play disk. Also has a really nice reversible cover.

Crazy good

This game is soooooo good. It's a modern take on one of the best games ever. It keeps all of the nostalgic moments but more polished and fresh. Highly addictive... can't wait to play the other chapters!
